I cut my teeth on a Suzuki RM-125, then went to a Honda CR-250, then, when I got responsible, and all I got a Yamaha 650 something or other street bike.
I outgrew all of that foolishness, and graduated to fast horses. I'm not sure which caused me more pain though.....
But I will say this about the two.
The motorcycle can be turned off ....a horse can not.
I went from oriental to American.
The American Quarter Horse is one of the finest, smartest, and most powerful animals that God has blessed us with.

Horse back riding is something every one should enjoy. I learned how to ride on an old horse named Sam. My cousin loved him so much that he named his first born son after him. I rode working horses. I tell you what you better hold on if those horses see a cow----.

I rode motorcycles too when I was younger. Back then, I preferred the oriental models.
I still ride a motorcycle, but I have never been apart of the partying, and drinking crowd.
I ride with Christian Motorcyclist Association.
Startedoutlearninghow to ride on a 440 Kawasaki, went to a 750 Honda V 45, then to a Honda Magna, that bike was awesome, 4 cylinder, it would fly, bright yellow, wish I hadn't sold it. Then bought a Harley Fat Boy,
Beautiful Pearl White. Rode it 10 years, moved from Texas to Tennesse, and with all the hills, found at 106 pounds, couldn't hardly lift it off the kickstand, so I sold it, and bought a new Harley Freewheeler. I hope to ride until I am 100.

I was introduced to riding a mule bareback when I was about 10 or 11 while helping to chop tobacco on a friends family farm in Driver Va. Mules are the offspring of a mare horse and a Donkey. They are bigger and stronger than horses and were used to and could pull everything. Well, this mule wasn't used to be ridden and they have a spine like the Alps. Needless to say I was a bit bowlegged for a couple of days.
Like horses but don't want to be close to them as I've not had good experiences with them when I was younger. I get along with most other critters but not horses and I think it's because they sense it. Mike

We owned a few back in the day and used to what I call "d**g race" them at a track that was part of the AQHRA in Illinois if I remember correctly.
I had to squint my eyes at it too.

It did, but I didn't get it. It would have put a chink in my finances.
