U.S. Attorney General William Barr accused international speculator George Soros of subverting the U.S. legal system and encouraging an “increase in violent crime.” Barr pointed to Soros’s harmful activities when he explained some of the Trump administration’s efforts to fight crime on the Fox News program hosted by Martha MacCallum in late December.
Barr said Soros systematically infiltrated prosecutors’ e******ns across the country using d******e and dangerous tactics. He specified that Soros invested large sums of money to get officials elected who did not fully support security forces, thus making proper law enforcement difficult. One example was Soros-backed district attorney in San Francisco, Chesa Boudin, who promises less jail time for gang members prosecuted within his jurisdiction.
In another of Soros’s many interference cases, former prosecutor Joe DiGenova and attorney Victoria Toensing claimed he was involved in the Democratic-driven impeachment of U.S. President Donald Trump. Toensing also explained that Soros had meddled in Obama’s State Department.
“The United States and others made false statements about him [former Prosecutor General of Ukraine Viktor Shokin], yes, they were NGOs funded by George Soros who was also ‘in bed’ with the State Department,” Toensing said. “They were ‘in bed’ with each other during that time [during Barack Obama’s term], in the name of fighting corruption and it really means that Soros is going after his competitors,” she added.
“Soros’s dirty money is all over this story from day one,” DiGenova said, while Toensing added, ” still has people infiltrating the State Department.” Soros usually operates through the Open Society Foundation (OSF), an international, supposedly philanthropic network that operates in many countries around the world and has a long history of supporting l*****t activism.
In the United States, for example, the Sixteen Thirty Fund, which received more than $2 million from the OSF, led a campaign against Brett Kavanaugh’s nomination to the Supreme Court in 2018. “His reach and influence range from two dozen prosecutors he helped to elect in the United States, to fellows he helped train at the State Department, to global media institutions that he supports to the tune of $26 million annually, The Hill reported in 2016.
The same issue points to Barack Obama, Nancy Pelosi, and Hillary Clinton as beneficiaries of his financial contributions. For the 2016 e******ns, Soros donated $10.6 million to the Clinton campaign.
