So you think KKK are typical conservatives while those running for the Democratic ticket are progressive extremist? But in any case, the KKK numbers have dropped since Trump took office according to the Southern Poverty Law Center (which is a left wing organization). It had been on the rise under the past few administrations. As for other s*********t organizations, there are too many to check. Not to mention, even if you restrict s*********t organizations to 'white' s*********t organizations, how can you equate those founded by Democrats as a conservative organization? Do you even know what a conservative is? The most basic conservative principal is less government control, or even any type of conformism, over individual freedom. To put that in perspective, when a problem is percieved, individual conservatives step up to assist through their time or money. They don't try to force others to do so. If it is important to them, they step in to help. A progressive wants government intervention. Either laws to mandate away the problem (which never works), or taxpayer funding to create programs to address the problem, or at least to study it.

There are many definitions of conservative, liberal, progressive... But I like this irreverent one (which only mentions conservative and liberal. Often people on the right or center lump liberal and progressives together and use the label "liberal" But here is the definition: “Conservative, n. A statesman who is enamored of existing evils, as distinguished from the Liberal, who wishes to replace them with others.” . . .

And here is a pretty good site comparing conservatives to liberals (which by the characteristiccs listed includes progressives). Not every person fits neatly in each category having each characteristic in the category. For instance, I am in favor of no government infringement on any American's rights, including gays and any other group. I don't pick and choose who should be afforded rights or the opposite, special treatment.

Note that the CDC does NOT label an unborn as an infant. The definition used by the CDC of an infant specifies it must have breathed before death.

I thought we were referring to conservatives, not Republicans. Much of the Republican leaders are NOT conservatives. Most conservatives are constitutionalists. If basing decisions on our constitution is stupid, then you live in the wrong country.
