My first impulse after reading the title of this thread, and then what you posted was to call you a booger eating moron. But since I can't do that here, I won't say that about you.

Let's talk about the school lunch thing in your title if you don't mind.

It's pretty simple for me; maybe complicated for you, but....nevermind...

My opinion is that DC has no business dictating what localities can feed their kids at school.

Mike Obama's school lunch program was an abject failure. More food went into the dumpster than the septic tank.

But, on the other hand, if you weaken people, especially young, growing people with hunger, you own them, and can get them to do, or say anything you want them to.

The federal government has no business owning and controlling 3.3+/- million acres. If they want to own that much land, they need to sell leases and create income from that land.

Michele changed school lunches to uneaten food, for lack of a better term. It basically became canned, unseasoned crap. Icky stuff that no self respecting kid would touch!

As for the environment, states need to take more control of regulating local water and air.
