You are wrong on every count, this conversation started regarding whether Obama was lying or not and he was referring to federal taxes, try to keep up.{ Wrong..it started with you accusing Obama of lying about everything. Taxes came up later.}

Secondly, you just proved my point that 30% pay for everything, the point is not that they are living high on the hog, it is that they earned their money or their parents did, so what, and it was done legally by their own hand. I inherited nothing, earned all of my money myself and have paid boatloads of taxes.{Good for you! And, like I said, that does not factor in state and local taxes}

My main point is that the gov't wastes virtually all the money it gets it's hands on and creates self destructive systems that are unsustainable and not even the right thing to do. { Would that include the 57% of revenue that foes to the military?}

Thirdly the point is not that the taxes rate has to be raised it is that the gov't will take in less because it is creating less jobs due to investment contraction. {Oh yea, the "job creators" Bull the middle class are the job creators because they spend what they have on necessities, and that goes back into the economy. The rich sock it away offshore. They are not going to expand their business if there is no market for their goods or services. That is capitalism 101 Mr. Business man

Read the news today, b****s and hispanics, as well as the poor in general, have suffered greater loss in Obama's term then anyone else. { They always do in an economic downturn, which we know was not created by Obama. If Obama had extended special help to them, I can only imagine the howling buy the likes of you.}

This happens every time the gov't tries to manipulate things. It's to bad you paid all those taxes yet do not remotely understand what is being done with them or how to create more of them without flat out stealing people's money. { Right, hands off. Free market.Reaganomics How many depressions do we have to have before you learn}

Have a nice life and please watch something other then MSNBC it's k*****g you.

I failed to see your answer to the part about watching MSNBC. Did you have something to say in refutation to that part. If so what could it have been?

I am new here...but agreed. Never stop learning or thinking for yourselves people. Ultimately we are the ones that have to work with what we have or sink due to inactivity or paralysis.
It's just crazy to believe everything put out there by any political party, they are first and foremost for their careers and hopefully second for their constiuents. It is folly to blindly believe otherwise.

I have to agree with you about the political parties but not about individuals in the parties. Two who have been in discussions today are Trey Gowdy and Tim Huelskamp. Both of them are fighting the administration very hard and doing just what their constituents want them to do. Establishment Republicans don't like either of them for that, either.

Good Post, we do need to use our v**e and keep pressure on our congressmen to represent us as individuals regardless of party. The higher up in Goverment politicians get, the more out of touch with mainstreet problems they become.
Maybe it is because the higher in office they are the more they have to fear from thier own citizens. Look at all the problems that seem intractable and most definitely feel that way to those that are struggling or circling the drain in this awful economy.
It is up to us to keep them focused and working for the average person.

I agree with your sentiment re keeping the pressure on, but it seems obvious to me that the only pols being pressured are the republicans because the democrat constituent eats, breathes, and LIVES wh**ever his politician tells him - LOVES what his politician is doing, and the greedier the politician, the better for his constituents. The democrat pol does not get pressured in the negative sense - he merely has to keep on keeping on with what he does best: crime and oppression.

If he ever told the t***h, it would have been a mistake. He DID tell the t***h once, though, and everybody ate it up like whipped cream- he said he was going to fundamentally change this country. Now I know most of his v**ers didn't have a clue what the word "fundamentally" meant, or they may have had second thoughts about him. But he has succeeded in that promise already. He has turned a democratic constitutional republic into a tyrannical circus of disaster after disaster because NO ONE ON HIS STAFF has ever once been in a position of BUILDING anything, particularly anything of true value - their entire lives have been centered on destruction. If one can prove I am wrong, I will gladly apologize.

Now all we have to do is fundamentally change our nation back to what it is supposed to be.

Sir you are 110% correct. With his background he would be ineligible to join any branch of the United States military. He was and will always be a disaster looking for a place to happen. I find it astounding that even his most ardent admirers can have any faith in this waste of fresh air.

Thanks. I'm not sure his admirers still have faith in him - they are between a rock and a hard place in the road. They MUST support him or eat crow. They placed all they had on him - and he wasted it. And they still cannot say he is a liar and a loser. It would damage their p***e.

(PS. I'm an old lady of 74, not a "sir". I don't even cross dress.) :lol:

LMFAO: Christie: Obama ‘Kept Every Promise’ On Hurricane Sandy Aid ... "TEApublican heads exploded Monday as New JersFey Governor Chris Christie in appearance on MSNBC said that President Barack Obama “has kept every promise he’s made” about helping New Jersey recover from Superstorm Sandy."

I think that the collective heads of the right wing extremists exploded when Obama was first elected, which is why they've been acting like brain dead zombies ever since.

I owe you a great debt - I am grateful for your service. It kept me and mine safe, and that is not to be sneezed at. Incompetent?! NOT BY A LONG SHOT, NOT IN MY BOOK!!
Semper Fi , Sir! My husband of 43 years was a US Marine, then a US Border Patrol Agent, then an Immigration Investigator (way back when those things were done!). He passed away December 6, 2006. It took me a while to get past that trauma in my life, but while I still can shed a tear, I have moved on and have taken on politics BIG TIME. I've always been a political junky, as was my husband, and is my current partner. But I went into it in a stronger way after my Rick's death. Hope to be seeing you around most days!!

Thank you for your kind words. And thank you for your husbands loyalty and dedication. I am sorry for your loss. I lost my wife of 31 years, who stayed through all of the separations and injuries and moves and all the other things a wife of a Marine must endure. She never wavered, never complained. She continued to march.
Best of wishes and Semper Fi.
There are only two types of people who understand the Marines. The Marines and their enemies. All of the rest are just guessing.

The fact of the matter is that the clean-up has been botched in a big way and nothing any of the politicians have said has remotely come true. Christie is just another helpless politician trying to get re-elected like the rest of them and he lives in lib land where nothing is true.
