You are wrong on every count, this conversation started regarding whether Obama was lying or not and he was referring to federal taxes, try to keep up.{ Wrong..it started with you accusing Obama of lying about everything. Taxes came up later.}

Secondly, you just proved my point that 30% pay for everything, the point is not that they are living high on the hog, it is that they earned their money or their parents did, so what, and it was done legally by their own hand. I inherited nothing, earned all of my money myself and have paid boatloads of taxes.{Good for you! And, like I said, that does not factor in state and local taxes}

My main point is that the gov't wastes virtually all the money it gets it's hands on and creates self destructive systems that are unsustainable and not even the right thing to do. { Would that include the 57% of revenue that foes to the military?}

Thirdly the point is not that the taxes rate has to be raised it is that the gov't will take in less because it is creating less jobs due to investment contraction. {Oh yea, the "job creators" Bull the middle class are the job creators because they spend what they have on necessities, and that goes back into the economy. The rich sock it away offshore. They are not going to expand their business if there is no market for their goods or services. That is capitalism 101 Mr. Business man

If Obama had extended special help to them, I can only imagine the howling buy the likes of you.}

Good Post, we do need to use our v**e and keep pressure on our congressmen to represent us as individuals regardless of party. The higher up in Goverment politicians get, the more out of touch with mainstreet problems they become.
Maybe it is because the higher in office they are the more they have to fear from thier own citizens. Look at all the problems that seem intractable and most definitely feel that way to those that are struggling or circling the drain in this awful economy.
It is up to us to keep them focused and working for the average person.

It took me a while to get past that trauma in my life, but while I still can shed a tear, I have moved on and have taken on politics BIG TIME.
