They don't all need to be replaced. Obummer doubled the size of the NCS for his own personal reasons, probably just to have his thumb on everything that moved in the government. The government can run a lot more efficiently with smaller staffs of people loyal to the current administration than it can with a bloated boatload of progressive holdover bureaucrats!

That's actually a catch 22 problem. The more brains involved, the quicker the problem gets solved. That was the issue with 9/11. Not enough brains were focused on the potential problem and it got out of hand. I understand scale of efficiency, but sometimes it's not worth it. And you mention progressive holdovers----you have to remember some of those folks were Reagan, Clinton, and Bush holdovers, as well.

9/11 has been a potential problem for a long, long time. We discussed it in the 70's - and that was just at th Senior NCO level. There was even a novel or 2 written about that scenario back the day.

That is correct. I was working on that problem then at JSOC at Fort Bragg as a civilian.

Remember I think it was Comey said "The devil is in the details?" He wasn't blowing smoke. That's how I know and Rudi and a ton of people know to look in the metadata.
