I also own my home. But I have to say that rents in general seem excessive. I attribute that to the overall moral decline of society, (brought on by progressive policies.)

They are insane to say the least, buying is far cheaper than renting these days. One of my daughters pays 1500 per month for a 2 bedroom, no utilities included.......she could get a new 3 bdrm, 1700sq ft house for little over a thousand, that would include her property tax in escrow.....if she bought.

The moral decline makes for a lot of single households, just what the progs love......

I very much believe in capitalism. But frankly just because you can get that much, doesn't mean you should. When Judeo/Christian values were the underpinning of society, greed existed, but wasn't celebrated, it was frowned upon. I'm in my late 60s. I don't see how young people can make it starting out now. No wonder they are disillusioned.

Yup... house prices are up, since ours are paid for that's a win win Smed....mine has nearly doubled since I bought it in 99. Renters are screwed a bit, they are way up on rentals and apartments right now.

I see nothing to complain about.

Rent would go way down and wages for everyone below the 1% would go way up, especially in California,
if we ended the Jobs/Welfare for underpaid foreigners and they self-deported.

Don't know where you're shopping....

Californica where it is more like $3.92 due to over regulation, taxes, and lack of competition.
Where my PGE bill for heat and electricity is going up fast while what they pay for natural gas is dropping.
