Thats interesting you say youv'e done a lot of reading and resesarch to reach you're conclusion's What differance does that make if you're obviously reading right wing propaganda, And swallowing right wing dogma, and drinking the right wing kook aid. I retired 20 years ago and was still a regesterd Republican . Had been since 1958 but was wondering how it came to be that the far right (Christian conservatives) took over my party. And being newly retired I set about finding the reason. It's been said that the past is prolouge So I pulled a history book off the shelf that my wife had purchased as a gift in 1973 But had sat on the shelf as i Pursued my first million. The Title was "The Glory And The Dream" By William Manchester A narative history of the United States from 1933 to 1973.

The first five chapters covered the great depression and the events and causes that led up to it. The book became a best seller in 1973. But looking back it seemed ironic the Manchester chose 1973 to end his book in view of the fact that 1973 seemes to be the year that the depression era New Deal colition collapsed and the modern conservstive movement began acsending aggresivily culminatring in the e******n of St Ronny Reagan. Needless to say my extinsive reading and research over the last 20 years has led me to very differant conclusions that your's. Liberalism had a 40 year run from 1933 to 1973 resulting the greatest middle class in the history of the world

Since than the conservative movement has had a 40 year run and what we got was a return to new gilded age where the wealth of the nation accumulates in the hands of the few at the expence of the many and the once great middle class has been eroding for 40 years and has reached a critical stage. So there is research and then there is RESEARCH!

Once again DOLT, I don't listen to advice from the losing party's whiners. I do read their habitual whining remarks though which are usually void of common sense and FACT. You just keep on whining and I'll just keep on laughing.

Did you not notice that kmikale just admitted the Republican presidents were just as bad as Barry? You capitalized FACT as if you know its meaning. I believe you could possibly be suffering from Brain Dead syndrome.

Liberals see Christianity as a political descriptor and can't see the game is r****d on both sides of the aisle. I don't know too many Christians that really found old "magic underwear" Mitt as a real choice compared to Obama. I couldn't endorse either moron.

Bush was an embarrassment, much like Barry Sorento is, and that goes for Sr. as well as Jr.. If we could just find a person to lead this country that didn't major in i***t, maybe both factions could start seeing eye-to-eye more?

I thought Johnson was a poor substitute for Kennedy and, Nixon made me get off my butt and protest the war like most sound minded people did at the time.

I didn't like Reagan, but at least he could lead and made America better for it. We're in a big slump in this country and we are also in serious trouble. As long as we are willing to support such Milquetoast leadership, we will continue to spiral downwards. Anyone thinking Billary is the answer, just doesn't have a clue what the question is. That's my story and I'm sticking to it!

It is far worse than that: their attitude toward the poor makes them no better than Himmler.

Sadly you are right, too many who carry the name of Christ are very poor examples. There are many who use that name but have no clue as to who Jesus is or what He taught. That aside, with your very broad statement you sound like an anti-Christian bigot. I am not saying you are but it sounds like h**e speech to me. Apart from the "Christians" there are many right wingers who spew hatred, that is true. The comment that they are returning what they have received is valid. It does not excuse their behavior but I am sure you know that hitting back is a very normal reaction. Wanting to hit back is a very natural feeling for me but since I am a follower of Jesus is choose to live in the Spirit not in the flesh. I expect when you read this you will want to hit back. Maybe you will restrain yourself? Maybe you won't? Also, I do not h**e this president but I strongly oppose his policies.

Where on earth does the idea that dead people v**ed for Obama originate. There is no evidence that any one has ever been elected to office because dead people v**ed for them in fact I've never seen evidence of anyone ever being elected by fraudulent v**es. This must be some right wing fantasy that conservatives propagate to make themselves feel better. It never seems to occur to them that the majority of the people just didn't v**e for their candidate in sufficient numbers and they lost fairly and squarily

I am extremely offended by that statement. You obviously don't have a clue as to what a Christian stands for. You state that we are no better than Himmler, the leader of the N**i SS, who is responsible for over ten million deaths, including six million Jews? Because why? Some attitude toward the poor?! When Christians provide for the poor? Because we don't like this t*****rous president who is shoving c*******m up our backsides?

You, Mr. Rumitoid, need to take some pain meds and tend to your arthritis, and leave your ignorant comments in the john where they belong.
