I'm just curious how people who support Trump see this, no oversight, no investigations, he can continue to defy the law...or is this a shot across the bow to fly right, to heed the laws?

You guys on the left like to spin Trump's request to President Zelenski to investigate the Biden corruption issue as an abuse of power, and self serving to President Trump's re-e******n campaign against a potential rival. I see this as a legitimate matter of VP Biden's interference into an investigation involving IMF and US Government guaranteed loans that I and you as a tax payer should want to occur.

You would need to be brain dead, and willfully oblivious of the facts not to see the obvious conflicts of interest, and abuse of power on the part of Biden in the legal affairs of another nation.

So, does that answer your question?

woodguru... I see it as Pres Trump being impeached when he shouldn't have been, just like Pres Clinton was impeached by a GOP House and shouldn't have been 20-plus years ago... History will look at both impeachments as a "blips on the radar" that meant nothing...

Just stop ....you say defy the law, which in any other terms is breaking the law. .....you said it that way on purpose.

There were no laws broken, wishing and accusing is not guilt woody, you have accused him of everything but stealing the WH silverware.......and everything fell flat on its face... ....charge the man or find a damn hobby already.

It is neither an acquittal, a warning or an end of hatred. They are already planning the next thrust. Even after he’s re-elected, the investigation will go on, but he will go on fighting for America. Why? Because he is truly a patriotic American. It is you who can’t see the light.

This wasn't even about trying to remove Trump now.
It was a ploy to take the senate.
Then they'd remove him.
It has backfired.
For about 2 years I've been reading comments on you tube from different people and a lot say the same thing.
They've been Democrats for 30 or 40 years and they're disgusted with the party.
They are going to v**e Republican.

Trump now knows he can do anything he wants, legal or otherwise, because the Republican Senate has officially given him permission.
The only one who will be remembered in history from this shameful Senate will be Mitt Romney.

There will continue to be oversight by congress of the executive branch, not management or supervision but oversight.
There will continue to be investigations.
Trump has not broken any laws.
Hopefully a shot across the bow of the House of Representatives that they do not have the right to impeach just because they have a substantial majority.

Trump cannot do anything he wants and you know it; why would you make such a stupendously stupid statement?

With one exception...Clinton, under oath, lied to a Grand Jury. That was a crime.
