Thanks, that's funny and beautiful. They are very entertaining, love cats since I was a little girl. I married my young boyfriend who owned a cat. When he left for Vietnam, the cat was my constant company. Very comforting, she purred on me when I was sad.

I have had animals all my life, as the daughter of a rural v eterinarian I had the opportunity o help repair a lot of animals and help deliver offspring to everything from horses to pigs, and a lot of goats and cows, so they are all a part of our life. Npp was not raised with animals but they have helped him become a whole person so he now is as connected to them as I am. Personally we both prefer animals to a LOT of posters on OPP, I guess you can figure who they may be.

Lol that's funny, but I think it is true. That was a great story you have. You have great life. You know why they are great? Pets don't complain. Loyalty of a dog or cat, or other animals are precious that I think makes life complete.

Here's what I got when I was a little girl. My father had a horse named Funny. The color was light brown with white spot somewhere on the head. She had a colt. We had goats, and chicken, dogs and cats. That was how I learned to love animals. I missed all of them, cause when I was fifteen, my uncle came, took me to study in college in the US. Since they had no children, him and wife ended up adopting me. In college I met my boyfriend who owned a female cat. Didn't last long after college, he was called to Vietnam. My only comfort and company was the cat, who could sense when I was sad and cried. She came to me and purred on me. From that time on I always adopted a cat. And now my present cat is named Baby, and love her very much.

I can attest from personal experience that cats h**e the light box. Every time I open mine while sitting anywhere in the house, Charlie, one of our latest foundlings, will be on my lap within seconds. If I happen to be watching TV in bed, I can count on one or the other of Charlie, Aaron, Jennifurr, Simon, Shadow or Buffy to be sitting on me between the TV and my face. Whoever cannot find room upon my body will find a spot next to me, curl up and go to sleep.

I have a few more cats in the house with me and they also keep a close watch on me in case I happen to go to the refrigerator. They know that if they make a big enough appearance. I will dispense a few cat treats.

They have me well trained. I overheard a conversation between them the other day. They think it is unfair that I have had all of them "fixed" and they feel I should get the same treatment. Cats are very egalitarian, I have discovered. They will treat you exactly as you treat them.

thanks to my sister in august 1991 my mother & i raised a grey squirrel did not have her eyes open sh ate real good & we did have to take her to vet at times for maybe allergies or other problems ..she lived her full life 7 yrs that is how long they live .. back then had a german shepard she was old enough not to go after her .. at times we let her run around the house but never went outside till she was in the cage a rabbit cage .. she even learned on her own to go on the toilet no training there at all she figured it out on her own ...
