I doubt he cares at all. He is surely aware that most of his colleagues in the Senate know exactly why he is there and he is not fooling anyone. He is there to be a major thorn in the side of President Trump because of his own hatred of the man ... a hatred borne of jealousy. I am of the belief that he and Bolton planned this strategically timed "leak" of the manuscript as a last minute ploy ... a page taken from the Kavanaugh playbook .. when they saw that they the GOP Senators weren't buying shifty's s**tt and they were not going to get witnesses to extend the trial forever. Thank God it didn't work.

If all the republicans in office he will be left standing in November, and trump will be fleeing prosecution

Excellent point, Carol. They may be cooking up something else to throw a wrench in the works between now and then. Bolton is a snake. And he may strike again before Wednesday, with a little help from his friend mitt on the best play for them. But let's hope for the best for now.

mitt and a number of other Republican Senators were elected in 2018 and still have four more years after the 2020 e******n .... they'll all be left standing regardless of this v**e. Meanwhile, back home in Utah, state GOP senators are trying to find a way to get a recall v**e to get rid of mitt. They most likely won't be successful, but it shows how unhappy many of his constituents are because of his blatant bias against Trump. And ... President Donald J. They're so PO'd in Utah. They are attempting to pass a recall law to deal with this pathetic excuse for an (R). We could see signs of this RINO establishment mindset when his running mate refused to get anything done in the House. (Two peas in a pod.) How d********g of Romney to v**e the way he did? I would ask him very politely to join the other 'Party'. To think that his hatred for Trump would excuse the pun, 'trump' his admiration for all the great things our beloved President has accomplished. I can't believe I'm saying this but I'm glad he lost....even to Obama. What a jerk. They should put some strong pressure on him to leave or at least quit representing a state I used to live in.
