Anyone who has sat in a high school econ class knows that one of the main tactics in a down economy is Government spending. Witness the recovery under President Obama.

But what happens when in time of a strong economy, government spending is increased constantly??

did not think any of you knew..

But thats OK.... trump has no clue either.. Not a G** D*** clue..

from The Fiscal Times...

U.S. Economy Grew 2.3% in 2019, the Weakest Pace Under Trump
The U.S. economy grew at a 2.1% annual rate over the final three months of 2019, the Commerce Department estimated Tuesday. For the full year, gross domestic product grew by 2.3%, down from 2.9% in 2018 and 2.4% in 2017.

“Trump and his fellow Republicans have portrayed the U.S. economy’s performance as ‘unprecedented,’ ‘historic,’ and in the ‘fast lane’ after the GOP tax cuts, but economists say it is best characterized as slightly above potential,” The Washington Post’s Heather Long and Andrew Van Dam write. “The strong gains in 2018 did not last.”

The deceleration in 2019 reflected slowing in business investment and consumer spending and a drop in exports. Business investment has fallen for three straight quarters amid uncertainty created by President Trump’s trade wars with China. “That's the longest contraction since the great recession and suggests GOP tax cuts didn't lead to the kind of sustained spending boom advocates had touted,” The Wall Street Journal says.

Those d**gs on growth were partly offset by increased state, local and federal government spending. “U.S. government spending has been a consistent driver of growth during the Trump administration,” the Journal notes. “Federal expenditures and investment have added to GDP for 11 straight quarters, the longest such stretch since the recession and its immediate aftermath.”

Economists expect growth to slow a bit further in 2020 and come in around 1.8%.

Sorry Goober.

But your pay grade puts you in the peon class.

So don't be trying to pontificate on the economy from the level of a lowly plebeian.

Because everything you post t***slates into the image below

As always Wolf you have nothing to add.. Why not rest some more and enjoy your veranda..

what you seem unable to comprehend is the the pleasant life you all seem to wish for, those wonderful years of the 50s.. were driven by not giving all the wealth to the ultra rich nor by letting some orange criminal do as he pleased but by having a working class which could live the pleasant life from the rewards of a single job and the return to both labor and management, not only to equity..

Look it up, it is easy and you do seem to have excess time on your hands..

Vern, send that same note to the oval office and tell trump that his demands on spending are not being met...

He dictates the over spending, he wants it for his purpose and he has no intention of doing otherwise.

he over spent all his life and drove all his business to ruin and fully intends to run the nation the same way and is doing so..

This is what trump sent to congress for the 2020 fiscal year.. while congress, even under full republican majority fought to reduce the amount, they have not been successful enough to keep the debt to a reasonable amount.. Look it up..

March 11, 2019

WASHINGTON — President Trump sent Congress on Monday a record $4.75 trillion budget plan that calls for increased military spending and sharp cuts to domestic programs like education and environmental protection for the 2020 fiscal year.

Mr. Trump’s budget, the largest in federal history, includes a nearly 5 percent increase in military spending — which is more than the Pentagon had asked for — and an additional $8.6 billion for construction of a wall along the border with Mexico. It also contains what White House officials called a total of $1.9 trillion in cost savings from mandatory safety-net programs, like Medicaid and Medicare, the federal health care programs for the elderly and the poor.

Whether you turn the Articles up and down, front and back, left to right, the results are the same. The fabricated offenses listed by the lying Adam Schitthead do NOT constitute impeachable offenses.

Schitt had 18 witnesses without being challenged and questioned by the GOP officers. Still none of their claims merited any of the qualified impeachable offense.

They want to add more at the Senate trial, will end the same unenforceable offense. They want to go on circles, with the intent of advertising themselves to the people for the next e******n. They try to portray their inadequate justifications hoping to persuade people to rally for them.

They still end up knuckleheads, empty of substance but rhetoric LIES.

Results, none came out eligible for meritorious reasons, rather added to the demise of their position.
LOL

I know that. I posted at the wrong topic. I am doing two things at a time, doing these year-end taxes for my clients.

I'll answer you later. The economy you are talking about I'll explain why the budget increased. The needs for the walls, and the military spending was primary.
Congress appropriation was limited.

I have to return to my work. Bye, I have a deadline to meet.

Government spending is equated by the needs of the following:
Building of walls that supposed to use about $4 billion. But money appropriated by Congress in 2018 was only $1.6 billion.

The president spending gone up due to prioritized need of military upgrade that was abandoned during the Obama administration.
The president has created NEW AIR DEFENSE SYSTEM to catch up with the trends of other countries.
https://www.defense.gov/Explore/News/Article/Article/1598071/space-force-to-become-sixth-branch-of-armed-forces/

President Trump has unprecedented success in solving the economic needs of 96.5 % of the American people. That is 3.5% only goes to unemployed.
Lowest unemployment for b****s and Hispanics and women since history.
The president has created more jobs than qualified and sk**led people are needed. Thus with partnership of companies needing the sk**led job, they gave free sk**ls training to those interested which would take at least 6 months to 2 years. These are all free, and after the training, the trained people are hired with better pay.

The president protects us from terrorists and drug dealers by sealing the walls. Mexico helps prevent influx of i******s into the US by using at least 27,000 of their military to guard the walls within their territory.

The president has provided all workers from the lowest ranks to the highest pay incentives. Their salaries rose 3.2%.

The president was effective in foreign affairs where trade balance was achieved between China and the US.

The president was effective in leading the NATO summit wherein all members were required to pay their dues. Prior years, it was always the US tht run the budget shortage. Now every member nation are paying.

The president has successfully controlled or limit thievery of our IT technology stolen by foreign countries like China.

The president has successfully replaced NAFTA with USMCA, a better policy agreement that benefits the US with more jobs and better pay.

Retirement and pensions of all workers are all time high due to high percentage of growth of the stock market. Temporary halt happens but due to uncontrolled C****aV***s in China. This hopefully will be contained within 3 months with v*****e. Growth will resume as soon as the v***s impact is contained.

If you ask people if they are better off today than 5 years ago. They will all respond much better off today.

I used to have a couple of them come by my house.
I was always polite, but one day I asked why they don't believe in hell and they never came back.
They won't come back if you ask them to listen to what you believe either.

Never had to watch that in my life so tis hard to do.. Pizza is another on the list..

basically, the list is any thing I like , I should no longer eat...

But so much for that..
