The US-China trade war, how is China doing ?

China has a lot of bad debts building up in it's banking system. The Wall Street Journal had an article about Western Vulture Capitalists swooping in to buy up distressed assets at steep discounts. I cannot link to that article because it is a pay site.

My point is the US has handled the trade war better than China has. For all of you Trump h**ers who think China is invincible and that President Trump was suicidal for daring to take China on, think again.

https://www.caixinglobal.com/2019-09-26/chinese-rural-commercial-banks-still-mired-in-bad-loan-crisis-101466215.html

China will not collapse, but it has a lot of problems just now that give America and Donald J. Trump more leverage on trade negotiations, than in the past, and maybe than we will get in the future. On top of their financial problems they still have their on going Pork crisis because a large portion of their swine herd was wiped out by the African Swine Flu. Now the new C****av***s is causing more uncertainty.

Hopefully China will accelerate it's cooperation in winding up the trade deals. They need our help and we will in the future need them.

I’m glad you posted this. Trump’s the first President to even attempt to level the playing field. His plan is working.

China reported the trade deal as a win... But no one is really sure what China won...

Farmers have had bleak years before the tariffs from Trump. Reuter’s is a left wing propaganda site just like you.

And so will Trump. The thing is, nobody has taken China on to this degree. America will never have the leverage it does now. China has been priming the pump, like America did Post 911. When you do that a lot of problems creep into to your whole financial system. Bad loans, hiding bad loans. China has similar problems to what the US did prior to the 2007-09 collapse. The Vulture Capitalists descending on China is a sign.

With the trade tariffs, the pork shortage, and this new v***s causing disruptions to people moving around within China, the Central Leadership has to be concerned. I think in a year or two things will improve and China will backslide on their trade deals, particularly in theft of intellectual property.

That is why if Trump is removed from office, China will backslide on everything because then we will be in the weaker position.

You are wrong again Florio (per usual)...Not all farmers have had it bad. The big agribusinesses have done well by the swampmeister:
https://www.ewg.org/agmag/2019/07/usda-bailout-impact-trump-s-tariffs-goes-biggest-richest-farmers

Obama took lumps from the right for bailing out the auto industry, but bailing out agribusiness seems to be somehow different when done in the swamp:
https://theweek.com/speedreads/866567/trumps-farmer-bailout-already-more-than-twice-expensive-obamas-automaker-bailout

But (he who speaks opinions with no data), all is not lost, Trump's socialistic handout is starting to help the smaller farmers this year. Do you like giving people money for not working? Maybe you are a farmer and like it? If so, spare us the free-market hypocrisy about pure capitalism. If you are not a farmer, ditto.

Sorry to have to quote standard sources; I could not find any right-wing rags with financial data about the subject.

Have a nice weekend.

So you are saying farmers didn’t have any bleak years before Trump?im not for bailouts of any kind usually. However; when govt. policy directly impacts an industry negatively then govt. can help those impacted. Especially when the impacted supply the rest of us with food.

As this C****a V***s story plays out, it hurts China more and more. You cannot just quarantine millions of people, watch your tourist industry collapse, and all the while be engaged in a trade war with President Trump, and not be greatly harmed.

I was just sent information from a guy pretty connected (all I can say). He says we are being lied to. He says the v***s is increasing at a rate of 29%/day. I’d say this was conspiracy crap if it was anyone else.

I have no way of knowing that. It may be true. I am interested in how it is affecting the Chinese economy, which also affects Chinese political life. I would not be surprised if the General Secretary of the C*******t Party Xi Jinping is toppled. He is very authoritarian in his style of ruling. That is fine when things are going well.

This C****a V***s is the latest in a string of shocks to China. So far the only real political threat is from Hong Kong. If any protests break out in the Chinese mainland, watch out.
