He has to rely on those who work in the government to do the right thing, and right now there are far too many holdovers from the deep state Obama-Clinton cabal working on the inside to derail every avenue of investigation. I can't, for the life of me, understand why the Republicans do not expose all this and call the Democrats bluff. Are they afraid of something or hiding something? John Brennan and James Clapper should be in prison by now. I am extremely disappointed in AG Barr. Is everyone waiting for the November 2020 e******n to end hoping that Trump will be turned out of office so it can all be sweep under the rug? This is your real collusion story. Nearly everything Trump has been saying for the past four years eventually is proven to be true. Americans have such short attention spans and even worse memories.

I saw on a blog that someone thinks Roberts has something up his sleeve. In the beginning of today's hearings he said something about "ruling about executive privilege" after the Dems were done presenting their case. If the Dems ask him to rule that they want new witnesses and he acquiesces, then the Senate would have to hold a v**e with a simple majority win. They don't have that simple majority....because of the RINOS, Romney, Collins, Murkowski and Lee plus the two Independents that said they would v**e with the Dems.

If that is the case, then this could go on for a long time until the Dems exhaust all their witnesses. This could become a real mess. Someone also told me that Mitch could over-rule Roberts, but I have no idea how that works. Neither, I think, do they. They're making a lot of this up as they go, and if the Republicans don't stay alert, the Dems might just pull the rug out from under them.
