There certainly is something fishy about a kid getting a $50K/month job at a foreign power company where he never went. However, whether he and/or his old man are corrupt or not, has nothing to do with Trump's impeachment trial. It is a separate thing. If they broke federal law, they should get a trial too. But the impeachment is about a President withholding funds, allocated by congress, in order to force an ally to do something that might help him get re elected. Personally, I think there are other actions that President Trump has done that are far more worthy of impeachment than this perfect 'phone call. Just the bumbling way he has let Iran go back to developing nukes, or siding with Putin in opposition to our own intelligence agencies about Russian interference in the 2016 e******n, but the Democrats don't want to go there. It might expose some of the skullduggery that they have been doing.

Heres the proper take on it. The President asked Ukraine about a corrupt elected official (Biden) who used his authority to get money for his son. That's a legitimate concern for the President.
