History goes to the winner.

How foolish the democrats will look after they impeach a duly elected President only to have the e*****rate reelected him to a second term a few months later. Pelosi gloats about impeachment lasting forever, but, if President Trump gets reelected in November, it will be the democrats that will carry the stain of this failed political c**p forever. History will not be kind to Pelosi or the democrats.

How foolish the Republicans will look after they refuse to remove Trump from office only to have the e*****rate remove him from office a few months later. Democrats will claim vindication and claim that the Republicans failed in their constitutional duties so the v**ers did it for them. History will not be kind to the Republicans.

Impeachment is a done deal. The President remaining in office to 2021 is a done deal. The rest is a carnival show to try to effect the outcome of the e******n this November. One party or the other will claim vindication. One party or the other will be irreparably damaged by this impeachment for a very long time. The winner next November will write the history. The stakes are high.

Much higher stakes than you think if the Democrats win in November

The American v**er is the jury. I think you are missing one more important point. Both parties have battled each other for how long, since the Civil War. What we have is evolution unfolding before us. No victories or defeats are permanent. Each party rises and falls continuously. What changes are the tactics.

Generally tactics do not change very much over the years because the rules are hard to change. When one side mutates and invents a new tactic, the environment tests it. If it is successful the other side will adopt it also.

The real danger to Democracy is not whether President Trump survives or not. The real danger is that if Nancy Pelosi is successful, both parties will adopt this as a new or worse common weapon.

If Impeachment becomes common, Congress will dominate the Presidency. A President will hesitate to make unpopular, but necessary decisions because he knows he will have Impeachment h*****g over his or her head.

Pelosi has released a dangerous monster. If the v**ers do not punish her severely, this will become standard procedure for opposition Congresses. There is far more at stake than President Trump.

I concede your point, but you leave out the entrenched bureaucracy. They are mixing into politics. They are supposed to be neutral servants of the taxpayers. Instead they see themselves as rulers, the taxpayers as peasants, and each new elected politician as a dupe to be manipulated.

Even forever politicians can be v**ed out. The Mandarin Class of civil servants are the real enemies of the people. Look up Mandarin.

Politicians acquiesced their role to the bureaucrats a long time ago. Politicians come up with ideas with the intent of raising campaign funds or attracting v**ers, but, the bureaucrats write the actual laws, regulations and penalties that effect us. Thus the politicians "have to pass the bill before you can see what's in it". There is nothing in it but a general idea until bureaucrats write it.

The bureaucrats can not be neutral servants of the taxpayers. Their job security, income, benefits and promotions depend on a continual growth and reach of the federal government and they will always support the politicians that provides that growth to their jobs and incomes. They will always fight against any politicians that threatens it. V****g against all incumbents or adding term limits will not change the threat of the bureaucracy to the e*****rate. It will only increase the power of the bureaucrats as new politicians will even more heavily rely on the bureaucracy.

You say that "each party rises and falls continuously". Wish that that were the case. Since the Depression the democrats have actually controlled the congress nearly 80% of the time. They controlled the President less but the President really has very limited powers. It is congress that controls the money, power and social direction of the country.

The fix. Repeal the federal individual income tax. Quit expanding federal government overreach by distorting and abusing the commerce and welfare clauses of the constitution. Abide by the 10th amendment. Of course this wont happen until the weight of the federal government forces a social or political revolution.

Ronald Reagan, “.... government is not the solution to our problem, government IS the problem. It isn't so much that liberals are ignorant, it's just that they know so much that isn't so.”
