It's rather obvious by who's on the "team" that this is set to be played out in the media as a public show trial. The other thing that is apparent is that once again the GOP wants proceedings to be done without public observation of the real proceedings and events. Why people can't figure this out is beyond me, and is why I think the base doesn't seem to care because they have a basic understanding that the way the GOP represents proceeding done in the dark is not the reality, they are willing to listen to rhetoric and stick with it even when the facts come out later. Facts become somehow distorted into f**e news and lies. Meanwhile the base never bothers to listen to these "f**e facts", so they are clueless about what the arguments are. FOX says nothing there and that is what is stuck in their heads, nothing but rhetoric and lies.

I'm hoping we are going to be able to see key events and testimonies so that the spin goes on alongside the reality.

Oh, and I meant to say that this Dershowitz may have standing, but his beliefs in absolute power are basically rejected by the majority of the legal community. He is going to give senators the shade they need to think they can simply go along with the idea that this clown's skewed vision of what the constitution says about impeaching for abuse of power not being possible is okay.

Your clowns in the House were hardly fair in their dealings with Trump and Republicans. Partisanship politics were the order of the day. Wh**ever Democrats needed to do, they did. Impeachment is politics. So what ? So now you demand that Republicans controlling the Senate act like impartial jurors.
