From Inauguration Day to the present, Democrats have been after impeachment.

The campaign to impeach President Trump has begun,” was the headline of The Washington Post … on Inauguration Day, January 20, 2017. For the past three years, IMPEACH, IMPEACH, IMPEACH has been the Left’s drumbeat day after day after day after day. Americans have gone deaf to this charade. Democrats wanted to remove a president duly elected by American citizens before he had a chance to do one thing in the Oval Office.

I remember a justice system where you were innocent until proven guilty. But not with President Trump; the Left says, “He’s guilty, so prove to us he’s innocent.” Anyone remember Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid accusing p**********l candidate Mitt Romney of not paying his taxes for 10 years? He told Romney to prove he had. Later, when asked by the media about his lying, Reid simply said, “He didn’t get elected, did he?” So, lying to achieve your goals has become accepted in politics?

With President Trump we first had “Russian collusion.” Nearly two years of a special counsel investigation costing over $30 million, found nothing. Open hearings with Special Counsel Robert Mueller were a huge disappointment. No evidence whatsoever! Someone needs to shake down Adam Schiff to get the evidence he told us he had!

Then came the “whistleblower,” but he was not really a whistleblower. President Trump talked to the Ukrainian president and l*****ts didn’t like what he said. Strangely, no one who testified actually heard the call. The accusations were of corruption, bribery, treason, and, my personal favorite, a quid pro quo. Apparently, none of these polled well so we had two lame Articles of Impeachment v**ed on by the House of Representatives.

But thank God, the Left was able to get this done before Christmas because Trump was a clear and present danger to the country. He needed to be removed yesterday! Then a month passed where House Speaker Nancy Pelosi did not send the articles of impeachment to the Senate for a trial. She wanted a fair trial, she said. I’m all for it. Let’s use the same rules the House used! They should be fine with that, right? Finally judgment day for President Trump has arrived. The Senate has the articles of impeachment and the trial will begin.

Wow, that took a lot of work to save the country from President Trump. I don’t know how they were able to get anything else done. Wait! Actually, they haven’t gotten anything done. Meanwhile, the economy is roaring along. Wages are up, the stock market has set more than 100 records, and unemployment for African-Americans, Hispanics, women, Asians, and teenagers is at an all-time low. Two of the top terrorists in the world have been k**led and trade deals favorable to the U.S. (for a change) are being made. But all Speaker Pelosi has on her “to-do list” is to impeach Trump.

If laws were broken, and not just feelings hurt, let’s get evidence and then make a case. That’s why America is a nation that operates on the Rule of Law. Prove a crime was committed. “I don’t like him” is not a reason to tie our nation’s business up for three years. Move on!

Something to think about?

Aren’t we all just sick and tired of being sick and tired of Democrats and their rhetoric? This impeachment business has set a new precedent which may just be our undoing no matter which way it goes.

Well....no...not really. Hear me out, please. As you said, we have heard this from the beginning of Trump's campaign, impeach, impeach, impeach, impeach, impeach. No amount of their so called evidence will convince us that DJT is guilty of anything besides loving this country. No amount of evidence or logic will ever convince them that they are wrong.
So, what is left? Well, 2020 is finally here...the BIG e******n year, so we must ask about, talk about, and lecture on.....v****g. Don't get over confident like the dems did with Hillary.
Of course, you post is important and deserves a lot of thought, but we have made our arguments and searched the evidence for t***h, and now, we must get the idea out there...v**e...V**E...V**E !

I think that Trump says that he doesn't have a clue that he did anything wrong, is a very good reason to remove him from office. A total lack of a moral compass is not good in a leader.

What has Trump done wrong Peggy? Economy soaring? Lowest unemployment in history? Stock Market through the roof? Wages up? Companies coming back to America? Splain that to me!

Well one thing for sure, the GOP needs to air this out and give looking at the facts a fair shake and do the right thing...because anything that isn't addressed right now is going to be a constant parade of ever worsening revelations as we find out more and more.

If people were to actually look at what this case is about, and how absolutely petty and senseless the degree to which trump pushed people to get what he wanted when everyone around him was objecting and warning that things were being done illegally you would feel differently. There is a limit to the stupidity we can allow our president to do things that serve no purpose for the country. Trump does not get to do things for himself that are not for the country...and he sure as hell does not get to do things on behalf of Putin rather than our ally.

I don't care what trump has done right, although he has screwed so many things up they never will be made right again...that said no matter how good he is he cannot break the law as far as oversight is concerned. If congress wants documents or to talk to someone in his admin, especially looking into violations, they get to see them, it's the same for all presidents.

Withholding military aid to the Ukraine is not the only time he is violated the apportionment act, he does what he wants and he does not get the congressional approval he needs to do it. Multiple of his agencies have taken to simply refusing to provide documents upon request that the public is by law allowed access to. People shouldn't have to go to court to get documents that people have the right to have access to.

No president is above the law, no matter how much good you think he is doing.

He said early on that he thought bribes should be a part of deals with other countries, that they should have to pay for what they want.
