01/09/2020 --- Although war should always remain the option of last resort, the U.S. Armed Forces are the most elite fighting force in the history of civilization. While different threats require varying degrees of military force, the recent escalation between the U.S. and Iran have raised questions as to what we could do in response to any future strikes by the regime in Tehran. Here are some of our most powerful options:
1.Ballistic Missiles (Tehran's Favorite Weapon)
Ballistic missiles are deadly and difficult to intercept (unless you have a national missile defense). They are very conspicuous, with early warning radars picking up their signature long before they reach their target. Forewarned U.S. personnel were able to find shelter at Al Assad airbase long before Iran's not-so-discreet rockets hit. When they finally arrived Automated Centurion Gatling cannons unleashed a hail of bullets shooting down several. Maybe that option isn't such a good idea after all.
2.) Predator Drones
Predator drones have been utilized by the U.S. Armed Forces and the CIA for over a decade, and the latest advancements in UAV technology have made them all the more lethal.
These long-endurance drones can quietly loiter over a target for up to 14 hours carrying Hellfire missiles capable of obliterating most targets before they need to return to base – all without putting American pilots in danger.
3.Strategic Bombing
The U.S. Air Force could oversee a strategic bombing campaign against Iran. The bombing campaign would contain a laundry list of strategic targets in Iran but would prove highly controversial should there be collateral damage.
4.) Black Ops
Black ops run by special operation forces could be utilized to capture/k**l high-value targets with a minimal footprint. We have the ability to take out targets with precision and then fade into the night without a trace.
5.) Rail Guns
Rail guns are a revolutionary weapons platform that uses electromagnetism to launch projectiles at incredible speeds. The projectiles are large hunks of metal with no explosive materials. Although in the research stages, BAE Systems developed a prototype for the U.S. Navy. Such weapons could be fired from ships at targets hundreds of miles inland with greater granular firepower than cruise missiles at a fraction of the cost. They are also much harder to shoot down.
6.) PHASR Rifle
The PHASR Rifle is a relatively new form of weaponry the US military is experimenting with. PHASR is a non-lethal weapon that disables its targets with a low-intensity laser. The beam renders targets blind and dazed for a few minutes. Although still a prototype, this weapon could become the perfect tool for capturing high-value targets, like Gen. Soleimani's replacement, Esmail Ghaani.
7.) MAARS
Modular Advanced Armed Robotic System or MAARS is a small ground drone that has several mounted turrets that could be used to launch an offensive against enemies of the United States. These nimble machines are about the size of a car and can take down threats without endangering any American lives. Source- AAN
