They also just settled with Sandmann ... not sure what the amount on that is, but Sandmann's attorneys were asking for $275 million.

I doubt it will be the end of them, though. They are, after all, owned by AT&T. You know, the same company that quietly and without a court fight over privacy laws handed over phone records of congressmen, a journalist and other private citizens to shifty just because he asked for them.

CNN was simply fined for union busting, this is indeed good news. Anytime management is punished for abuse of labor is a good day for working families. All of the Democrats running for President have promised to strengthen labor laws and do their best to end the so called “right to work” laws that have crippled our middle class. As far as putting CNN out of business, it won’t that’s just a Nazi wet dream.

Here is a real story on the settlement from a legitimate news source, the nations paper of record the New York Times.

CNN has agreed to pay $76 million in back pay to settle allegations that it violated federal labor law when it replaced hundreds of unionized broadcast technicians more than 15 years ago, the National Labor Relations Board said Friday.

The board said the settlement was the largest monetary remedy in its 84-year history and more than the amount the agency collects in a typical year.

The agreement ends a long-running dispute that erupted in 2003, when CNN terminated a contract with Team Video Services, which had provided audio and video services to the cable company’s New York and Washington bureaus.

CNN then hired new employees to perform the same work without recognizing or bargaining with the two unions that had represented the Team Video Services employees, the board said Friday.

Good point! That is nothing but propaganda! Forced upon the unfortunate travelers stuck in airports all over the country!

I will miss CNN......I often switch to other channels, especially MSNBC and CNN, to see
how they are reporting a story.....end up shaking my head and wondering if they were
at the same scene.
I liked CNN for laughs.
The biggest joke is, they actually take themselves seriously.
