Gaetz must not like his job as Florida's representative.

Going against President Trump is a move that could end his career.

He's pretty loyal. Posted an article explaining why he did it. Don't think his reasons were anything close to backstabbing Trump, but I think he maybe had some logical reasons.

Agreed. His v**e had nothing to do with being disloyal or backstabbing the president. He v**ed with his conscience which is what you would SHOULD expect of every elected official.

Yeah, he explained it on Tucker, but I still didn't agree with his assessment. No problem. He still strong in the Trump camp, a loyal patriot.

I think Trump should embrace the war powers resolution. Then, when things get rotten, it falls on Congress. Trump could then concentrate on things here; economics, i*****l i*********n, etc.

As I understand it, the only drawback is if something needed to be done "yesterday" like k*****g the #1 Terrorist in the world1!!!! Story by Babylon Bee about Dems wanting to fly f**gs at half-mast was not far from the t***h, the more I read about their disappointment. AF1 had a c****ary because he thought the story was meant to be something other than satire. Pretty funny, but he's kind of 'different' for lack of a better word anyway.

For once you may be right, Trump supporters are not driven by ideology, rather they have been drawn into a cult of personality. They do not support ideas other than the license he gave them to openly express their h**e. Really the only thing thing they demand of their elected officials is blind obedience to their illustrious Pumpkinfuhrer. Any republican who doesn’t on bent knee worship the Cheeto faced S**tgibbon and slather him with sufficient groveling praise does so at their own peril.

Are you're a s**t stain on society. Does this mean you'll have a change of heart after the "LANDSLIDE". Oh that's right you don't have anybody who could do a better job in the form of a politician. So your opinion doesn't equal even a s**t stain, as you put it.

What landslide do you speak of? A liquored up chimp would better serve as president than your Cheeto faced S**tgibbon, And be much more respected.

Maybe Mr. Gaetz took some time to read or review that silly old 18th century document called the Constitution of the United States, and that other silly document called the Declaration of Independence. The Declaration has no force in law, but it does explain the basic ideas behind the American Revolution. One of those is that citizens have the rights of Life, Liberty and pursuit of happiness. When a government goes to war, it puts those rights at risk. So if you read in article one of the Constitution about the powers of Congress, you will find that only congress has the authority to declare war. That way, the representatives of the people get to decide if a situation is so dangerous to the Nation that citizens rights must be put in jeopardy. When I was 11, my father was drafted. He served in the Bulge, and the Rhineland Campaign and his unit later went to the Pacific. But his rights had been protected because on December 8th, 1941, the President had gone to Congress and "requested" that congress declare war. The motion carried with only one nay v**e. Over the past 70 years we have been letting presidents go to war without such congressional declarations. It's about time that we put a stop to this. If it happens on Trump's watch, that's Ok. he can take credit for re establishing Constitutional law!
