It has more to do with northerners who earned a decent living retiring and moving to warmer wether. Texas will be blue in no time!

You're wrong about that, Kevyn. I live in Illinois and the steady stream of people leaving the state has turned into a gusher because of fiscal irresponsibility, rising taxes across the board, and many other reasons.

Texas is not turning blue. Austin and Houston may turn purple but the hill country and panhandle will stay conservative Austin is a tech city and liberal by Texas standards The Houston area has the warmer climate.
