I don't care what you think of trump, when he threatens to do something entirely illegally and morally wrong you have to know it's wrong...if you don't you are a reflection of that.

The idea of threatening that you will target a country's heritage, the cultural centers they hold dear to who they are as a people it's wrong on many levels that every human should be able to recognize. It is senseless and more than that serves no purpose but to antagonize and truly piss people off at a fundamental and spiritual level. You create a different kind of enemy when you go there. Not only that but it is illegal, it is against the Geneva conventions, which says "making the clearly recognized historic monuments, works of art, or places of worship which constitute the cultural or spiritual heritage of peoples the object of attack..." is a war crime. The US War Crimes Act makes officials who commit this war crime by targeting Iranian cultural sites liable for war crimes themselves.

Trump tweeted his threat that he was targeting a symbolic 52 targets including cultural sites that were dear to Iran. There is the smell of Pompeo and his religious ideology all over this, he believes that he and trump are doing god's work in the middle east...the new pentagon chief (acting?) Esper is a long time friend of pompeo.
