Since 2018, Pelosi has spent all her time impeaching president Trump. They've spent hundreds of millions of our taxes to pay for their illegal acts.
They won't stop until perhaps the president is re-elected, and will continue to impeach him.
The House make up are made of 435 representatives. Right now we have 233 democrats, 197 Republicans, 1 Independent, and 4 vacancies. What are the costs of maintaining them in Congress?
Majority leader and minority leader of the House of Representatives $193,900
Speaker of the House of Representatives $223,500
Members of House of Representative Allowance (MRA) annually.
n 2016, each member’s MRA increased by 1% from the 2015 level, and the MRAs range from $1,207,510 to $1,383,709, with an average of
$1,268,520.They could hire staff up to 18. All of them covered by Cadillac Medical care. These are the hidden costs. The 435 representatives are given full Cadillac Medical Care all paid for by the taxpayers. This is a separate budget.
Rough estimate of the 233 democrats in Congress, every year.
For democrats expenditures in Congress every year.
233 annual salary $174,000.00 =$40,542,000
233 for MRA 233 * $1,268,520 =$295,565,160. using the average cost.
1 Nancy's annual salary $233,500.00
These costs are not complete. There are many hidden costs like their Cadillac Medical Care and Vacation and sick leave with pay.
Out of this fund paid for them, all they did was impeaching president Trump.
CSRS or change their coverage to FERS. Members are now covered under one of four different
retirement arrangements: CSRS and Social Security;
The CSRS Offset plan, which includes both CSRS and Social Security, but with
CSRS contributions and benefits reduced by Social Security contributions and benefits;
ERS, (Federal Employees Retirement System), which includes the FERS basic retirement annuity, Social Security, and Thrift Savings Plan (TSP)
Under both CSRS (Civil Service Retirement System) and FERS, Members of Congress are eligible for a pension at the age of 62 if they have completed at least 5 years of service. Members are eligible for a pension at age 50 if
they have completed 20 years of service, or at any age after completing 25 years of service. The amount of the pension depends on length of service (as measured in months) and the average of the highest three years of salary. By law, the starting amount of a Member’s retirement annuity
may not exceed 80% of his or her final salary.
