When I read about the incredulity from mainly the right, that the IRS accidentally (supposedly) lost those emails, I have to shake my head and think back to Nixon and the Clinton's. If one can remember, Hillary was on Nixon's impeachment committee. And, what she, and the Dems/Libs learned from that investigation, was why didn't Nixon just destroy the whole tape - make it disappear? Many people, left and right, would have questioned a lost tape, but without a "smoking gun" witness, they would have no evidence to prove the tape was destroyed on purpose. And, Nixon would most likely have survived his presidency. That my friends, is what we have here...lessons learned by the left from the Watergate investigation. Nixon had some honor, and resigned. Don't expect any liberal democrat to have any honor, they will DO ANYTHING to survive, legal or illegal.

But... there should be Off-Site Back-Ups of ALL IRS EMAILS as a Routine Policy... Just in case someone's computer is "fried", the IRS WOULD BE ABLE TO RECOVER THEM...

I worked in Data Processing for 40 Years & Trust Me... ANY COMPANY/GOVERNMENT EMAILS ARE BACKED-UP DAILY/WEEKLY/MONTHLY... Just in Case of Catastrophic Failure...

Yes they haven't looked in the right place/computer for the emails.
Surely some company oversees the IRS computer system and that's a starting place.

Hundreds of thousands? Really?

How difficult would it be to send emails that are benign in amongst those that are not?

You simply cull or isolate all emails that pertain to the contentious subject matter in a folder and then send all of the rest. And then when the heat gets too hot, you delete the folder and have the IT dept to come and take your computer away, destroy the hard drive and replace it with a new one (or a whole new computer).

They have ADMITTED to scrutinizing conservative groups closer than other groups.

The question is who know, who ordered it and what personal information was shared and by whom. Issa was given the IRS internal emails but not the external ones.

No one is moving on until justice is served be it criminal or civil court.

Sure - years of e-mails disappear - try to do that as a business being sued by the IRS - or even an individual - and you'd learn who the real radicals are.
