Minimizing mail-in b****ts would exclude a large proprtion of rural citizens from v****g. This is something the left has been trying to do for years. Some rural counties in my State have more than 85% of v****g done by mail-in b****ts. To actually go to a polling place might require well over a hundred miles of driving, and not necessarily all on well maintained, let alone paved roads. It might require setting aside the entire day. And if it rained that day, washes or rivers might be impassible.

Agreed, but what about having mobile v****g units staffed with trained and vetted workers?

BTW....where the heck do you live? How do these people get out to the doctor, school, or grocery store? And if the can not get out due to no roads, how do USPS get in to collect their mail?

What witnesses? The minority (Republicans) weren't allowed to call witnesses during the House hearings. They were only allowed to cross examine the Dem's witnesses. Once they brought the hearings out of the basement after the GOP demanded t***sparency it became clear how the Democrats were trying to orchestrate a c**p without the public knowing about it.

Flash flooding does not last for several days or weeks. A wash is very temporarily flooded but our river, which is normally a few feet in width and less than a foot deep, can go to 4 miles wide and 30 to 50 feet deep when we have a big storm come in from Mexico through the Gulf of California. But until flood waters drop, unless you are a pilot you are stranded. There are many people who must collect their mail at the post office. Or like myself, have a mailbox on the nearest county road to my home. When flooding threatens, or happens, I call my post office to hold my mail since it may be days before I can get to the highway to get to my mailbox. This is why I am set up to do early mail-in b****ts. But there are many people who are far more isolated than I am. A high percentage of rural citizens rely on early mail-in b****ts even if they are not a necessity at any particular e******n day, but only a convenience much of the time.

As for Dr appointments and groceries, I reschedule appointments and keep stocked up on non-perishables.

So what did these people do before v**e by mail? I still own a house in AZ, when it floods, people have to remain in place for days....but, floods in that area are unpredictable...once every 3 years. Not often enough to be of significant concern.

What system do you propose to fix the significant challenges to e******n integrity? What method would you recommend to ensure the chain of custody for mail in v**es? Is it possible that you believe there are no issues? At what point do we as citizens put civic duty over convivence? I do not have the answers, but perhaps you do.

Let me get this straight.
So all a terrorist organization, or someone smuggling in i******s, has to do is - use a private plane, take off from a private airstrip somewhere within flying distance of the US and land at another private airstrip inside the USA.
That’s.....different.

We are talking about private planes inside the US !

I think a lot depends on how the mail in b****ts are handled. Who opens the b****t? It might be that the mail in b****ts are found in the trunk of a car the day after the e******n.

The RED states will fight doing so. They need all the dead v**ers they can find.

There are more e******n issues which do not involve mail-in b****ts. Boxes of b****ts discovered at an airport. Invalid and/or illegal v****g at polling places. Intimidations (such as was done by the Black Panthers) at polling places. Electronic v****g machines which are faulty. These are just a few of the issues over the past few p**********l e******ns.

Of course there is room for improvement. But mail-in b****ts are still an important means to see all citizens registered to v**e get their chance. In AZ, an early mail-in b****t need not be sent through the mail either. There are secure drop boxes at county recorders where the mail-in b****t you recieved can be turned in up to a month in advance of the polling date.

As for whether or not a flood which strands you for days is a significant concern or not when it comes to v****g; if you needed to v**e at the polling place on one of the days flooding had you stranded, the fact that you would only be stranded for a few days would not matter.

I first started doing mail-in b****ts while I was in the military. They are a reasonably safe and effective way to cast a b****t.

The b****ts which were found in the car trunk at an airport were NOT mail-in b****ts. They were regular b****ts!!!! Despite no one being able to determine how they got there or if they were valid, they were counted.

Designate 72 hours for the polls to be open and guarded. You show up and v**e and if you can not make it to the polls, then you don't v**e. Only paper b****ts. V****g judges from all parties to be on location at all times while the polls are open. That's it! No early v****g, no mail in crap!

I recall the punch hole v****g and it worked very well till the Democrats started crying about h*****g tads !

I somewhat agree with mail in v**es but my first time v****g was when I was in Vietnam and without absentee b****ts I would have been able to v**e

The military is an exception.

We do not need or want anything secret in government! That is the main problem, big brother hiding stuff.
What a dumb thing to say.
