I think you're right, Don, and I feel people are going to rise about the garbage thrown at Trump from the media and the Democrats (same).

My feeling is that the Senate has such an airtight case that they can do anything they want. I read a headline today that said McConnell leaves open possibility for calling more witnesses. (exactly what the Democrats want) Many of us have had just about all we can take from Republicans' inaction and refusal to stand up for what is right. If they cave on this one, I will have no choice but to have nothing more to do with the Republican party. I'm am sick and tired of the Republicans caving from a position of strength and knuckling under to the Democrats. If the Repubs miss this opportunity, I am gone.

Nobody said anything about giving up, Noraa, we would just like to see the Republicans do what they keep saying they are going to do instead of crawling into a corner, particularly when they have an advantage. I propose writing to Congressman and letting them know what we think. The current crop of Republicans don't seem to have the k**ler instinct. What the Dems need is a little beat-down and a taste of Stockholm Syndrome. If we keep letting the Dems up when they're down we're just going to be strengthening their weak position. We could also use a little help from the media. At present they're drastically weighted to the left. Hope you all have a wonderful Christmas and a great New Year.
