I do not know of the Catholic Church being mention in the New Testament. Jesus teaches "repent, be baptized and believe in Me" Paul instructs the churches he communicated with to not get hung up in ceremonies and various doctrines. A relationship with Jesus is very personal and there is no priest or any protocol between Jesus and a believer. Jesus does encourage believers to "spread The Good News".
