Just another example of how trump and the rightwing media propagandists fool the average trump supporter in believing a lie.

A thousand a year works out to less than a hundred a month.... Of course most folk didn't notice...

Good thing they have the MSM to tell them to be unhappy about it...

Have you ever heard the old saying that figures don't lie; liars figure? Well, the folks at NPR have just presented us with a concrete example of that old saw. Actually, tax revenues have steadily increased over the past 3 years, not decreased as the article says. What the writer doesn't tell you is that the reason for the downward trend they present is that the economy has been going like gangbusters, outpacing the revenue stream. My question to NPR is would you prefer to have higher taxes rather than more revenue? They can't seem to grasp the t***h that tax cuts work. It just seems so tempting to believe that lower tax rates can't produce more revenue. The left wants to hang onto the lie that you must have higher tax rates in order to produce more taxes, a myth that has been proven false before. The belief that our economy is a "zero sum game" is just not economically true. If we could just come to the realization that reducing government spending could give us an even greater benefit, then we would really be improving things. Until then, I guess we'll just have to settle for the greatest economic boom in history as well as the lowest unemployment rate we've ever had. Even were that were to happen, I'm sure the left would be able to find a dark cloud somewhere on the horizon. MAGA!

If you look at a graph of the economy for the last 6 years you will see a line going up at a steady rate and without dates on it you wouldn't be able to tell when trump took over!

Considering the mess Obama started with he had a reason if you watch Trump closely he's doing what the 1% have wanted for ever 1 was the end of our ability to deduct the interest we pay on our home mortgages! He's about to compleatly destroy the ACA and there ill be no replacement. He promised best health care ever but only tried to get something through once, which tells me it was never intended to past!
He's slowly geting Americans distrust our intel agenceys and more than a few times hes sided with Russia instead of his own people despite evidence to the contrary!
He's ever so slowly pushing our allies away, he took us out of Syria and left our bases and airfilds intact so the Russians could move right in!

I believe you are wrong in your assessment that they "can't grasp the t***h".

They are denying it because it doesn't fit their liberal agenda.

The Debt is much greater now, and the kids and grandkids will bear that burden.
