You are incorrect. The v**e to impeach is vested in the House, Constitution article 1 section 2. The trial is under the purview of the Senate who will try the case, article 1 sections 2 and 3.

The United States Constitution provides that the House of Representatives "shall have the sole Power of Impeachment" (Article I, section 2) and that "the Senate shall have the sole Power to try all Impeachments… [but] no person shall be convicted without the Concurrence of two-thirds of the Members present" (Article I, section 3).

Fact is, he was impeached. Meaning he was indicted. However, he has not been tried so he has not been convicted, exonerated, or found guilty but not reaching criteria for removal. Fact is, the Senate may find the evidence does not meet Constitutional standards, as they did with the impeachment of Johnson and expunge his record.

There are some legal experts who are saying the impeachment process is not complete until it is forwaed to the Senate for trial.

He has a point, if an officer of the grand jury does not deliver an indictment to the court for trial, then technically the court has no basis to hold a trial by jury. This is a very thin argument and has never been tested. Having said that, it does not rule it out as a possibility.

I apologize for my earlier remarks.

Got news for you babe...he's got a big red I tattoo on his forehead, and it will tip him off the deep end.

Look up the video clip of trump fantasizing about how an impeachment would destroy Obama, drive him nuts...he was t***sferring what an impeachment would do to him. Insiders including Lindsey are saying he is flipped off the deep end pissed off. The inactivity of the christmas holidays are going to unhinge him...maybe over a thousand tweets by the new year? A hundred a day?

So Dear Nancy wants a fair trial in the Senate. By her definition of fair I assume that means she wants to block all Republican factual evidence like they did in the House. What an appalling bunch of scum the Democratic party has become in these last 30+ years. If they get enough non citizens v****g to win the next e******n the United States is finished and will become another Cuba with the peasants under the control of a commissar.

You are most generous. There are times when I become "too certain" in what I think I know. The older I get, the more certain I know less than I had hoped. It takes people like you to broaden my views. I am truly grateful for your patience and your posts.

Wishing you a very Merry Christmas and a New Year filled with blessings!
