In the USA, in times long past, the f**g was respected. But, times changed and people have used it for tp, or just as a receptacle for their body waste. It stays flying in all kinds of weather, and when torn or faded, tossed into the trash headed for land fills. People set it on fire and d**g it through the mud. No fines, no one complains. Just another day and expressing love for those who fought and died for the symbol of a United States......

It is for that reason I find it q***r that a man in Iowa was just sentenced to 16 years for burning the f*g f**g of L***Q. https://www.desmoinesregister.com/story/news/crime-and-courts/2019/12/19/l***q-f**g-burning-iowa-man-sentenced-church-banner-fire/2697139001/

Perhaps it's seriously inflammatory to disrespect people's symbols, try burning bibles, or burning korans, or burn a f**g in front of me or a lot of people I know and it won't go well.

I'm a bit of a purist in regard to the f**g, it should not be allowed to touch the ground, but our current alt patriots simply do not give a damn about any of that...

...the f**g is being disrespected in my opinion when it is cut up in pieces and used for clothes that are worn on dirty bodies, or flown from a truck and allowed to be beat to death in 70mph wind.

I agree, but the courts determined that this disrespect is covered under free speech.

This is in no way a matter of a rainbow f**g being held in higher esteem than the US f**g, quite simply it isn’t. F**g burning is considered to be free speech according to the Supreme Court. There are a couple of cravats to that ruling. You can burn a f**g you own, if you burn one you steal or one owned by someone else it is considered theft, malicious destruction of property or arson. Destruction of symbols is offensive to many, as many things are it however is not illegal arson however is.

I'm on the second floor of a condo. For nine years I have hung a fresh, new American f**g out of my window. Memorial Day , Veteran's Day
And the Fourth of July. I may display it if the "impeachment" gets expunged , but I digress...
Some neighbor complained,I got a notice from the ass-ociation , saying "STOP".
I stapled my attorney's card to a copy of their notice, and dropped it on the security guy's desk.
Two years, F**g flies, no word from the "gestapo".
The moral of the story ? - DON'T cave ,not in the small things - not in the big things.
Oh,by the way,I don't kneel at any f**g but Old Glory...

Amen and Amen I saw that earlier as well and that is truly sickening. Maybe we should take this to the SCOTUS and see if that is OK to burn their f**g along with the US f**g in protest.

When I read that story two things immediately came to mind.

The first was the same as yours, it's okay to burn the American f**g that so many honorable soldiers have fought and died for, but it's not okay to burn a rainbow f**g.

The second was the name of the perp, Adolfo Martinez. Apparently he's another of those 'white Hispanics' as opposed to those sainted Hispanics who are here illegally and v****g for Dems. In a country where 'nobody is above the law' except the 25 million i******s.

How is it that tearing an American f**g down and burning it isn't arson?

What's a cravat?
