Some people are doing the "happy dance" now. I am not. I predicted here on OPP before the e******n that trump would get chewed up. Sadly I was right. The man got elected on promises but once in he was over his head. When you are head of a buisness empire you are the absolute authority--not so in politics. He had no formal training and little knowledge of government processes or ethics. He did know enough to get himself in trouble. he is now lamenting his decision to become president on twitter " Why did I do this? I had such a good life before." He rode the wave of cheering fans who loved his--Democrats are scum rhetoric . He got so excited about it he thought he could Say John Dingell was in hell now and looking up at his Michigan rally. It back fired and he got booed at his own rally and two Michigan Republicans demanded his apology. Instead the White house defended his remark. There are cracks in his dam now and they are going to grow wider. The ones who he hurt worst are his supporters who believe in him and really believe he is doing good things for our country. He will someday return to private life as a toxic man nobody will trust in buisness and history books will not be kind to him. I would not want to be in his shoes for all the money in the world.

I don't see how in all seriousness you can say that he is over his head!!Unemployment is all time low for every race,266,000 jobs added last month, stock market is braking all the highs,USMCA is done,China deal at least first part is almost done!! And all this is done during impeachment farce!!!! So no,he is not over his head!! He is right where he is supposed to be as in President of the United States!!!!And as far as Mr Dingell comment is concerned,I thought it was unfortunate and unnecessary!! And he should apologize!!

How many times have you written something here and were booed or chewed-up for it? Goes with the territory. He is having a great time and has exposed much of the rancorous and rancid underbelly of politics. I am satisfied that he has done much to improve the country and where he has failed he at least tried to keep his campaign promises. He hasn't hurt me one iota, but then, I didn't v**e for him. I have to agree with your last statement, "I would not want to be in his shoes for all the money in the world." Why most anyone would want to be President is beyond comprehension. Considering the field of candidates from the Democratic party, I will most likely be v****g for Trump's second term.

You are imposing your own thoughts and your own suppositions regarding Trump's knowledge and qualifications on someone you don't know, based solely on what you've heard and believe true from f**e news. With Obama you listened only to what he said behind his teleprompter, not what he accomplished yet you rejoiced. With Trump you disregard what he accomplished and pay attention primarily to what he says. Trump gives more impromptu unscripted access to news organizations than any President we have known. For Progressives, Trump is your puppet master.

The remarks on Dingell was uncalled for. I wish Progressives would be just as concerned over the daily obscene, abusive and horrible remarks they have directed to the President and every member of his family. We're used to the Progressive fairness doctrine so it comes as no surprise.

There has never been a president who pursued his campaign promises that Trump, ever. He is still pursuing them, trying to keep them. Trump, right now is like the kid in that old movie about cycling called Breaking Away, shortly after the Italians ran him off the road in a bike race. Down and despondent, he made the comment to his dad, "Every one c***ts, I just didn't know." That tweet sounds like he might be feeling it a little but I think he will simply get going on something else.

I hope he stays angry with the democrats and turns that karma around onto them in a big way. We certainly will at every opportunity!

What universe are you living in? I agree he has been politically inept at times but that has pulled back, for the people the to see, ugly shroud over Washington. He is one of the few in my lifetime who has attempted to keep most of his promises.

Why do you think a normal person would want to be in his shoes, because you would? As hard as it is for some that revere trump, half the country has nothing resembling envy for the man. I do not respect or envy wealthy people that got it through lying, c***ting, bankruptcies, c***ting contractors and workers, c***ting people through his trump "university". I have never envied any despicable sub human person.

He sure divided the country-- I wonder if we will ever come together. Obama brought us out of a depression . In return he was h**ed by the people who elected trump.

Yeah I'll agree a lot of abusive remarks have been made about trump--Ovomit-Obummer- - Halfrican-- That definately was wrong but I see it almost every time I log in here. The Dingell remark was over the top and then the White house defended it--Says alot about the charactor of the man ho made it.
