Since impeachment is a matter of record they should set a trial date and notify the House when it will be. If the House chooses it can present its evidence at that time. If they fail to show move for an acquittal for lack of evidence.

I'd do it more like..this is a humongous stretch, I look nothing like McConnel. First "crime" Abuse of power. He tears it up since that's not an impeachable crime. Abuse of Congress? Or wh**ever they settled on also not an impeachable crime, he tears that up. Game over. PERIOD.

I believe the Senate cannot act until and unless they have the articles of impeachment in hand. Otherwise there is no charge against Trump and therefore no impeachment. I wonder if Nancy will ever send the articles over. She may decide since this is a losing proposition, and the Dems have already made fools of themselves rushing to judgement and ramming this thing through saying Trump was a threat and danger to our republic-they look pretty foolish now. If it were so dire, why not send the articles as soon as you have them? If you think you have proved anything except that you are still trying to undo the 2016 e******n and we are 11 months from the 2020 e******n. Buffoons, the whole lot of em. IMHO
