The only reason he is in this is because of Democrats h**e and determination to impeach him from the night he was elected.

Depends on your definition of 'efforts'. If by that you mean that Trump gave the Democrats plenty of reason to talk about impeachment, I would agree. But there could be no effort to impeach him until January of 2019. Broken promises about his tax returns and putting assets into blind trusts led to talk about the need to impeach, but even the introduction of bills to impeach could not be an effort to impeach because the Democrats could not do it.
The actual effort was when the American people sent a majority to the House on their promise to impeach.
