24 hours of news

In the 1960;s Walter Cronkite was the most trusted man in News . He did the day’s news in 15 minutes. Today, thanks to CNN, FOX, ETC, that 15 minutes of news has evolved into 24 hours of talking about the 15 minutes of news and news people have lost the kind or respect Cronkite had. Instead of 15 minutes of facts we get 23 hours and 45 minutes of advertisement and opinion or a better explanation,1 hour of opinion repeated 23 times

Also, you would never know which side of an issue Cronkite was for or against. He was a true "news caster" in every sense
BTW, he was a flaming liberal.

Ain't that the t***h. 24 hours a day means stations put stuff out there they would have never even looked at before with out two to three independent verifications. Now it's who put something out first and accuracy be damned.

I estimate my total TV watching time to be maybe 30 minutes in the past 5 years. I don't go there. I would watch Wheel of Fortune if the wife was interested. She watches EWTN and the weather.
