It should be a concern to every American that the DOJ and FBI can spy on political opponents or, citizens without a judicial warrant.

I don't believe reports leaked to the press from anonymous sources. I will read the full DOJ/IG report when it comes out and come to my own conclusions.

The Washington Post reported: “Attorney General William P. Barr has told associates he disagrees with the Justice Department’s inspector general on one of the key findings in an upcoming report — that the FBI had enough information in July 2016 to justify launching an investigation into members of the Trump campaign, according to people familiar with the matter.”

DOJ spokesperson, Kerri Kupec, said there is no dispute between Barr and Horowitz, that the IG report is a credit to the DOJ. In other words, The Washington Post is f**e news and Horowitz never had a conclusion that the FBI spying on Trump was justified.

As a matter of fact, the Horowitz review was initiated to look into how the DOJ and FBI secured a Title-1 FISA surveillance warrant against a U.S. person and was never tasked with looking into the claims that started the Crossfire Hurricane operation.

Horowitz never had access to the people and documents that led to the FISA warrant. While he could look at things incidental to the warrants and their renewal, there is no way he had the ability to effectively investigate the motivations of the key players, given that many were outside the DOJ/FBI circle and some were foreign nationals.

This is some of the wordplay used by Washington Post to conflate DOJ/IG investigation which is extremely narrow and the origins of the “Russia collusion narrative”.

Horowitz was never investigating the justification to launch an investigation... just the internal rules governing the issuance of a FISA warrant.

Like me dta Don't trust anybody. Well I trust my daughter. I don't agree with him that the fbi is justified, but I don't trust them. Same with most on earth.

I don’t trust today’s FBI, DOJ, CIA or any other intelligence organization and I wonder how we got here. This is a very confusing time for honest people.

Horowitz said he saw no political bias on the part of the FBI investigating Trump. What about Page and Strosk or how ever you spell his name?
