They keep mentioning the "founders". This is all opinion. None of these professors witnessed anything. They shouldn't even be CALLED witnesses. A witness is someone who can give a firsthand account of something seen, heard, or experienced. These people have not seen, heard or experienced anything!

Have they mentioned bribery yet? Our current definition of bribery wasn't even on the books for another 50+years after the constitution was written. The definition back then referred to an outside entity bribing the president to do something undermining the republic; not anything that could even remotely be applied to Trump.

What they fail to mention is for them to convict Trump they would have to KNOW what the intent of his statements were. They can’t know that. He says favor, they say bribery, proof is on them.

I agree with you if this were to be going on in an actual court of law but the Senate is not that. If the Senate were democrat majority, they would convict Trump based upon the very thing a real court would not allow.
