I love America. I don't believe CNN or the democrats. Why? I've read "his crimes" many times, but when I ask for specific crimes, crickets. Oh the Republicans have their faults too.

All this proved is that Schiff is an i***t consorting with stupid lackeys. Trump has never messed with any e******n, never blackmailed anyone. He’s a good guy and if I were in his family or among his friends, I’d be furious. I am furious. Schiff continues saying he knows all the facts but he doesn’t know diddly except get Trump out of office.

At least half of Americans want Trump out of office. Schiff is in good company.

Maybe. But he also has shown he has no integrity. Its the same tired partisan crap from democrats that we get from republicans. So really what are we choosing? Do we get shafted from the right or the left?

Currently, it appears to be a Hobbesian choice. The American people are divided, so the government is divided. Strangely enough, the situation does not make me pessimistic.

It seems to me that, while there are a few hotheads on both sides, the American people in general are just going about their daily lives: family, work, friends, etc. Wh**ever the situation in DC, in the country itself, whether in red areas or blue (I think most areas are a mixture), the people themselves are going about their business as usual.

I think it's a tribute to the genius of the founders that our divisions are being played out in the structures of our government as opposed to the streets. For example, there is no doubt in my mind that if archie bunker and I met we would talk about our non-political lives first and foremost, and if we ventured into our political views we would probably find many areas of agreement, and where we don't we would do so respectfully.

Wh**ever the outcome of the impeachment process or the 2020 e******n, the American people in general will continue going about their own lives while their political divisions will be absorbed by the arena of our governments. Just as intended by the folks who set up the system.

I'm not pessimistic either, everyone should know if it gets to the Senate the bill is dead. Going to try again? Good luck the definition of insanity. There will be so many fewer dems in after 2020.

I think the opposite will be true: Trump, if the Senate does not convict, will take the party down with him. There will be more Democrats.

Your 86% must be a poll of Republicans.

So because you profess to love america that means giving trump free passes on anything he wants to do even when he is failing to honor national security interests? I call that treason to withhold aid to our ally that they need to defend themselves against their enemy and ours by proxy, russia... trump's friend Putin.

Whether they chose or not the list of violations which get into illegal acts like withholding aid without doing it within legal channels such as letting congress know it was being done and why so they could have a say, is a long and well documented list that the right would be well served by understanding before spouting off GOP rhetorical defenses that are being made up.

I don't bet, but you are correct. The theory will be tested.
