Poll: Incumbents, Democrats Are Likely To Lose Big This Fall

If you were happy to see establishment Republican House Majority Leader Eric Cantor booted from his seat by underdog conservative David Brat, you’re going to love the predictions made in new polling data out from Gallup.
The polling agency predicts that v**er frustration over lackluster performance from Congress combined with widespread dissatisfaction with the Obama Administration is going to cause problems for incumbents during the midterms this fall.

Gallup’s data show that fewer than one in four Americans are satisfied with the current state of affairs in the U.S. Based on the approval ratings recorded for President Barack Obama, 44 percent, and Congress, 16 percent, it’s clear who Americans are blaming for their dissatisfaction.
The polling agency notes that when Congressional approval is low during e******n cycles, incumbents tend to be sent packing. And Obama’s unpopularity spells particular danger for Democrats hoping to hold on to their districts. It will be a land slide defeat for Democrats, they may not even receive 30% of the total v**e.

“Although the president is not a candidate in midterm e******n years, his standing with v**ers is usually a significant predictor of e******n outcomes. When presidents are unpopular, their party typically loses a substantial number of seats in the House of Representatives,” Gallup says. “Conversely, in the 1998 and 2002 e******ns, when Presidents Bill Clinton and George W. Bush had approval ratings above 60%, their parties gained House seats, providing rare exceptions to the historical trend of midterm seat losses for the president’s party.”

Noting that President Obama’s approval numbers are more reflective of George W. Bush in 2006, Gallup suggests that the midterms could bring big losses for Democrats. I believe the Democrats will be embarrass after the e******n in 2014. It could be the worst lost of any e******n in history.

“In those years, the president’s party lost more than 20 seats,” the polling agency reports.

Gallup’s analysts predict that the chances of Obama, the Democrats and the overall Congressional incumbency turning the tide before this fall are low, adding that it’s more likely that approval ratings will plummet further.
The Senate will fall to the Republicans and they will control both houses.

Obama will be in serious trouble after the 2014 and Impeachment will be h*****g over his head.

I doubt our commander in chief is going to lie awake at night worried about impeachment, conviction, and removal. He is a graduate of Harvard Law. He can do math and he knows it would take 13 or 14 Democratic senators, jumping ship to bring down his presidency. I am sure he is also aware that the impeachment advocates can't seem to name any of these Democratic "magical senators". Even if the U.S. Senate fell into Republican hands, there will not be the necessary super-majority (of 67) to shorten his term.

These dumb impeachment remarks on OPP are becoming laughable. There is a least one new of these asinine comments every day on this website.

Maybe the conservatives can get a group rate on a remedial math course.

Who said, Obama is a graduate of Harvard Law??? Where is no proof? The only person I know that has said that is Obama, which lies to us every day of the week and the bad news is, you believe him. Obama said, he was born in America. But, where is the proof? The birth certificate that Obama show us was a f**e. We all know that Obama Social Security number is a Fraud. If not where is the proof?

I can go on and on with what Obama claims. But, where is the proof????? You cannot claim Obama did anything, because there is not any proof that Obama did it.

Brian: Lets get one thing straight about lawless politicians...they are not above the law, including the POTUS. There are other methods to remove such lawless individuals...impeachment proceedings are just one. A Federal Judge can arrange a Grand Jury and due process can order a Federal Marshall to carry out the summons to any politician....even an illegal one occupying the office of the Presidency!!!!!
