Foreign Policy Does Matter

"The Democratic establishment is increasingly irritated."

"Some conservatives seem equally confused. The Washington Examiner’s Eddie Scarry asked:

“where is Tulsi distinguishing herself when it really matters?”

Foreign Policy does matter. Too bad the politicians of both parties don't want you to focus on that!

"The best estimate of the costs of the post-9/11 wars comes from the Watson Institute for International and Public Affairs at Brown University. The Institute says that $6.4 trillion will be spent through 2020. They estimate that our wars have k**led 801,000 directly and resulted in a multiple of that number dead indirectly. More than 335,000 civilians have died—and that’s an extremely conservative guess. Some 21 million people have been forced from their homes. Yet the terrorism risk has only grown, with the U.S. military involved in counter-terrorism in 80 nations."

Sure as hell doesn’t make it worse. Giving in to thugs and bullies never works.

Wait, by moving our embassy we're thugs and bullies? And as far as the rest of the world? Bring our troops, our equipment and our money HOME, IMO, we're not the world's policemen, or their mommies, either.

Saudi Arabia is a perfect example. The US and private US industries spent billions there in between 1965 and 1972. Roads, drilling capacity, hotels, public works, heavy equipment, American labor force. For the Saudi state to take everything over, throw out their "business partners" and start the oil wars. The US continues to be dumb asses about foreign policy. With OUR money.

Since 9-11 we have murdered over 400,000 mid eastern people and laid ruin dozens of cities while sponsoring the wholesale murder of hundreds of women and children in Gaza. Given Israel land that never belonged to us. I do not call that right.

Who gave it to them?

Seems to me they took it...

Perhaps the term your searching for is "recognized"?

No. If we were true bullies we’d give Hamas and that bunch in the Middle East just what they’ve earned. A mushroom cloud.

neither Iraq or Iran or Syria or Afghanistan ever did anything to harm the US but look a what we the bullies have done to them. This kind of behavior will have consequences. All this murder and destruction just to keep the Jews who own congress and the media happy.

So you’re an anti- Semite huh? Iraq violated numerous U.N. sanctions and invaded Kuwait, an important ally of ours in that region. I guess you believe Iran sponsoring terror groups does us and our allies no harm. Also you are one of those fools that think if we just don’t bother the peaceful little Muslims they will be the peace loving people we know them to be. You do know Israel is the only democracy in the Middle East and it’s people have our values.

I don't claim to speak for Jim Shipley, but I would like to draw a distinction between being anti-semite and and anti-z*****t. There is a profound difference between the Jewish state and the Jewish faith. I have a profound respect for the Jewish faith and the Jewish people, but despise the Z*****t government's treatment of the Palestinian population, it's interference in the affairs of other middle east nations, and it's influence in our government's foreign policy.

I may have been a bit judgmental but I generally am when it comes to Israel. It’s a Biblical thing. The Palestinians don’t have a country. Never did. Their Arab brethren helps keep the Palestinians living in squalor because it makes for good theatre for the rest of the Jihadis. Every time they were offered what they were asking for Arafat turned Israel down. The hell with them, Hamas , Palestinian Authority and Hezbollah. They specifically target civilians. They also don’t want just a Palestinian State. They want the destruction of Israel.
