I'm 79
Except for one semester in college when jobs were scarce and a six-month period when I was between jobs, but job-hunting every day, I've worked, hard, since I was 18.
Despite some health challenges, I still put in 50-hour weeks, and haven't called in sick in seven or eight years. I make a good salary, but I didn't inherit my job or my income, and I worked to get where I am. Given the economy, there's no retirement in sight, and I'm tired. Very tired.

I'm tired of being told
that I have to "spread the wealth" to people who don't have my work ethic. I'm tired of being told the government will take the money I earned, by force if necessary, and give it to people too lazy to earn it.

I'm tired of being told that Islam is a "Religion of Peace," when every day I can read dozens of stories of Muslim men k*****g their sisters, wives and daughters for their family "honor"; of Muslims r**ting over some slight offense; of Muslims murdering Christian and Jews because they aren't "believers;" of Muslims burning schools for girls; of Muslims stoning teenage rape victims to death for "adultery;" of Muslims mutilating the g*****ls of little girls; all in the name of Allah, because the Qur'an and Sharia law tells them to.

I'm tired of being told that, out of tolerance for other cultures," we must let Saudi Arabia use our oil money to fund mosques and madrassa Islamic schools to preach h**e in America and Canada, while no American or Canadian group is allowed to fund a church, synagogue or religious school in Saudi Arabia to teach love and tolerance..

I'm tired of being told I must lower my living standard to fight g****l w*****g, which no one is allowed to debate.

I'm tired of being told That drug addicts have a disease, and I must help support and treat them, and pay for the damage they do. Did a giant germ rush out of a dark alley, grab them, and stuff white powder up their noses while they tried to fight it off?

I'm tired of hearing wealthy athletes, entertainers and politicians of both parties talking about innocent mistakes, stupid mistakes or youthful mistakes, when we All know they think their only mistake was getting caught. I'm tired of people with a sense of entitlement, rich or poor.

I'm real tired of people who don't take responsibility for their lives and actions. I'm tired of hearing them blame the government, or discrimination or big-wh**ever for their problems.

Yes, I'm damn tired . But I'm also glad to be 79.. Because, mostly, I'm not going to have to see the world these people are making. I'm just sorry for my granddaughters and grandsons.

J, my good man, are you having a bad day??

It is only early afternoon.. much more to come..

But grab the good parts.. storm is coming but not here yet..

We are set for 0 to 14 inches, which ever nature decides. Or maybe lots of rain..
and the second part not showing up until Friday. so lots to eat on a calm cold day in between..

So, we could exchange rants, but I gotta hook up the buck board and get supplies for all the maybe may happen stuff.. So old I have not gotten prepared for the usual winter.. but my dog says all is fine and he is always up to the moment..

And remember, it is still fall not winter.. congress will take time off from the busy busy work load and that orange guy could care less unless the wind blows his hair comb over..

Just enjoy, is the season to eat like a pig, stay near the trough and burp a lot..

Unless you go to church on t-day.. then come home to watch the pros lose a game..

wh**ever your choice make it a good week for yourself and any others who may enter your dwelling..

all good people count.... so have a happy..

Right on brother. I'm 79 also and I could not agree with you more. My beloved country is being flushed down the tubes and I can't understand why that is being allowed. Thank God I was allowed to live through the 1950s. This all started in the 1960s with the hippies. They're in charge now.

Gman the hippies you speak of are old farts. Im 68 and I have no desire for the garbage is happing but I do remember some people during that time who spit a lot of garbage out older people then we were and professors your right in timing but all of a sudden everyone is blaming the boomers for all the world ills I for one am not going to take the blame for it it might have been a small portion but the majority didn't do it find someone else to blame

I am 86, and YES, I am tired. Tired of all the bickering; tired of hearing the left try to tell everyone what they should believe; all the angry rhetoric; causing r**ts; destroying other peoples property; threatening others because they wear a MAGA hat. If you think socialism is so great why don't you vacation in Cuba or Venezuela for a summer? You appear to have enough money to run around causing havoc, use it for a trip.

Rather than support a dead beat, I divorced a lazy husband, who NEVER supported our two children. I worked full time, part time, and sold Avon on the side, received NO welfare, or other gimme's. A young woman can make a mistake, have a child and get welfare - OK. In fact, I believe she should get it if she has two children out of wedlock - BUT, after that give her a choice, tubes tied, or no more welfare for a third, fourth, or more - she's on her own.

I'm a life long Republican. I grew up in a household where my father was the only Republican, his brothers and sisters were Democrats - guess what! They never argued about politics. Unlike today, where I read a woman got a divorce because her husband v**ed Republican. When politics becomes more important than family - that's a Nation where STUPITY has won the day. Democrats are free to have their beliefs, and ideas, just keep them where they belong, in your home with your family and friends - don't try force them down someone else's throat.
