If we can trust posts on OPP Ukraine played both candidates in the 2016 e******n. It switched its support to Trump after the e******n and before he took office. Foreign interference in American e******ns is now a given. However the US interferes in other governments affairs. Hong Cong is an example.

What are you trying to state--Ukraine backed Hillary so attacked Trump but failed to unseat Trump because Russian efforts to elect Trump far outstripped anything that Ukraine could do?

Or are you trying to assert that Ukraine is responsible for ALL the hacking of the 2016 e******n?

If it's the latter then you are arguing a Russian narrative introduced by Vladimir Putin for the purpose deflecting blame from Russia and placing it on Ukraine. If you listened to the latest hearing Feona Hill explained very clearly how this was done.

My question to you is do you really want us to go down this rabbit hole knowing that Russia has already attacked us and your president has ignored the fact that it was done.

Well, 45 thanks for the input. That's exactly what I think and the reason behind what is just more disinformation being passed around as t***h. What bothers me most is that our intelligence agencies have already identified Russia as the source for this bit of disinformation and those on the right, including our president, seem eager to embrace it as an alternative "fact."

It makes me think that we now live in a world of two alternative t***hs and just seems sad that in the war between ideologies objective t***h seems to be the first and perhaps, its greatest casualty.

Welcome to OPP 45 and I hope to hear more from you in the future...

One would hope but it certainly hasn't stopped conservatives from trying to introduce it as something we should be chasing instead of their president.

No body interferes with foreign e******ns more than the US government. That being said, the work of Ukraine trying to help Hillaryis well documented. How ever, the only think regarding Russia we know for a fact about is the use of social media but in that arena, there were adds placed and promoted which benefited both Trump and Clinton. The "hacking" by Russia has zero evidence except what Crowstrike has "told" us, although they claim they gave the fBI copies of the serverers but we have nothing from the FBI that they even looked at it or verified what they claim. In fact, one "Russian" hacker they caught was from Romania. Other hackers like McAfee claim that any hacker who claims they know where a hack originated, doesn't know where it originated. LOL! I liked that one.

And what makes you think we can trust posts on OPP? One side or the other is propagating f**e news. If you trust your side for dispensing the t***h then the other side HAS to be lying. There is no other possibility.

As for Ukraine, we are talking about a country near broke and without the infrastructure for that type of attack our nation underwent. That, and the fact that Russia has already been identified by our intelligence community as being the culprit so this shouldn't even be a discussion.

This begs the question of why you are entertaining it? Do you think our intelligence can't be trusted but as Trump implied the Russian intelligence agencies can?

Lastly, do you think our supposed interference in other country's politics justifies what Russia did to the US? As Mueller said, Russia hasn't stopped and is more determined than ever to interfere in our e******ns. Trump is doing nothing nor does he even seem to trust having our intelligence agencies to do something which begs the question of where does that leave us? Republicans are the beneficiaries for Putin's actions now but the shoe can just as easily be on the other foot.

If we are complacent or ignore completely attacks on our country how exactly do you think our democracy will be able to remain standing?

Documented by whom? Let's see it. Let's see the documentation that Ukraine hacked our e******n for the purpose of helping Hillary!

And except what Crowstrike has told us? The only ones who support the Crowdstrike theory are the GRU, the FSV, the SVR, Donald Trump and the more far-right parts of the Republican Party. Stop spewing Russian propaganda. If Crowdstrike is behind this there has to be something that proves it. Let's see it. That should be a simple enough request, no?

You should ask Politico. They are the one who first reported it.

As for Crowstrike, they claim to have given a copy of the DNC server to the fBI who has made no comment about it; no verification, etc.

The FBI played politics and can't be trusted with anything related to the 2016 e******n.

Se what you can find but the interwaves are increasingly hiding anything favoring Trump now and/or anything pointing back to the 2016 e******n and the dem's.

How ever, in the coming weeks and months, there will be a revelation or two from Ukraine themselves.

I do not trust many posters on opp. Many are biased and unt***hful to a fault.

The corrupt clintons and bathhouse barry, the fairy, took us down that rabbit hole before Trump even thought about running for the presidency. Hitlery's hips were so darn big that rapist Bill had to push her down that hole with a fork truck.

I found this post yesterday and it sums up our situation so succintly:

I remember my old history classes in high school. We were studying the Roman Empire. My teacher said that there was not many governments that made it past the 200 year mark.

The USA was approaching 1976. I was proud. But here we are now, getting close to 250 years old, and I feel I really see the possible end of our country.

The damage Trump has caused I feel is irreversible. He has destroyed almost all faith in government. He has dismantled our government from the inside, much as a agent from Russia would do. Agencies formed to help people (CFB), EPA, and so on have been stripped of all working minds. Or their hands have been bound so tightly they are ineffective.

Now he is attacking our military. A coward and draft dodger is making decisions he has no knowledge or ability to make. He has no concept of military life, honor, or oath. None, for he is a liar, a c***t, a coward, a r****t, he has all the traits no one wants in a leader. He is surrounded by yes men. These men are also supreme cowards. They want power by any means needed. There is no honor among them.

There was honor in the founders of this nation. There was courage, t***h, and fairness. None of these are traits of the GOP. As a vet, I’ve always been proud to be an American. I still am, but I sense a great loss of national p***e now. We are willing to k**l each other now, and we do so every day, by any means needed.

I don’t care if you are a conservative, that’s fine, but don’t lie, c***t or destroy the country in the course of getting your way. We’ve lost our moral compass. There is a reason it’s called Twitter, its used by twits. People who talk before they think. People who spread rumors and lies. And then lie some more when they are found out. It is America’s new normal, which is very, very a******l. It is a disease, and it has infected our country.

I’m sad, because America will never see 300 years old if we keep going down this path. We will collapse. We are at a crossroad. We need a hero. Another Washington or Lincoln. We are in deep trouble, deep, deep trouble. If trump is re-elected we will be done. He will finish Putin’s dream.

With i***ts like you living in the US, it's not a wonder that we weren't finished off about 50 years ago. Keep v****g for l*****ts like ovommit and hitlery and we will certainly cease to exist as the great USA!! What a fool you are.
