We should help restore the "Checks and Balances" by electing the Attorney General. Much in the same way that we elect the POTUS. It could possibly minimize the corrupt internal destruction of the Constitutional process; and the Respect for the Law of the Land. Kindly remember to: "V**e Incumbents OUT!" Thank You.

That is a marvelous suggestion. Perhaps we could then have one serving at the Peoples pleasure rather than the Presidents.

My bad. I never realized what squeakers the 2008 and 2012 e******ns were.
President Obama only got 365 e*******l v**es to McCain's whopping 173 v**es.
Romney almost demolished our commander in chief securing a massive 206 e*******l v**es compared to Obama's paltry 332 e*******l v**es.
Obama's weaknesses were especially apparent in the nation's most populous state, California, where he only won the popular v**e by a paltry 23%.
Having no mandates from either e******n, what right did he have to appoint our Attorney General???
Personally, I think he was just being uppity and taunting of the far right by not letting them pick the Attorney General.

You sure fooled me. President Obama only defeated Romney by 332 to 206 in the e*******l college. As of now the number of statewide California offices held by Republicans remains ZERO. It's been 22 years since we have even had a Republican U.S. Senator.
Republican sightings are about as common as seeing flying saucers during a "blood moon". I have seen 2 Romney bumper stickers in the last 2 years. Were they omens for the future?
