Ok Mums the word. Sounds like you supplied a good fathday meal today...  I am reading a terrific book by A.W.Tozer. It is called "The Knowledge of The Holy." The author was a great preacher, writer, and editor. He was mostly self taught. He is attempting to describe the attributes of God.

There is no way to describe what this book has done for me. I would almost beg you to look for it and get it. You can order it from Amazon, com. I have three of his books each one seems to be as good or better than the next.

Today is Father's Day and ProgenyE's birthday fell on today.

UncleE's usual Father's Day meal is Swiss steak, mashed potatoes and green beans seasoned with country ham.

ProgenyE's birthday dinner is spaghetti, garlic bread and salad.

I was industriously gathering items to prepare both the favorites. My WONDERFUL husband wandered into the kitchen! looked around and enquired as to what all the food items were about. I told him I was going to prepare the two favorites for them. He looked down, from his giant fourteen inches height above me, and quietly said, "I like spaghetti, garlic bread and salad. Just cook the birthday dinner. Do not make two major meals." He gave me a hug, kiss and thanked me for wanting to do both.

Unless I break every limb or am hospitalized, the WONDERFUL husband is having Swiss steak tomorrow night! :!: :!: :!:

There has been debate on my actual height. I say 5'6". UncleE says 5'4". We settled on 5'5" as a compromise. He is 6' 6 & 1/2". Not really 14" taller, though he can seem so at times. :D :D

Way back in my younger days I missed being a candidate for a Conservation Agent by 1/4 inch. In those days you had to be at least 5foot 8inches. Funny how life has its twist and turns.

He went and played a nine hole round of golf. The weather was glorious for such. He had a heaping plate of spaghetti with salad.
