House Judiciary Advances Farm Amnesty Bill H.R. 5038

The House Judiciary Committee on Wednesday advanced a bill that would expand the H-2A foreign guestworker program and provide a major amnesty for illegal farm workers — an attempt to solve the nation’s false sense of an agricultural labor shortage pushed by proponents of open borders. The measure, H.R. 5038, was approved by voice v**e after a marathon markup. It has been spearheaded by Rep. Zoe Lofgren, chairwoman of the House Judiciary Immigration and Citizenship Subcommittee. Rep. Dan Newhouse (R-Wash.) is the lead Republican co-sponsor and is joined by 20 other members of his party.

But several top Republicans on the committee opposed the bill because they argue it provides “amnesty” to undocumented immigrants working on farms. Rep. Ken Buck (R-Colo.) criticized Democrats for marking up the bill “without the slightest idea” of how many farmworkers would be able to seek legal status under the legislation. “We’re dealing more with status than the worker situation,” said ranking member Doug Collins (R-Ga.), who noted repeatedly that the American Farm Bureau Federation does not support the bill.

Democrats defended the bill as a critical way to improve farmworkers’ well being and provide producers with a steady (cheap and easily replaceable) labor supply. During the markup, members adopted just one amendment from Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee (D-Texas) that would extend the provisions allowing farmworkers to seek legal status to temporary protected status workers. Republicans offered a slew of amendments, but they were all defeated, such as one from Rep. Greg Steube (R-Fla.) that would move oversight of the H-2A program from the Labor Department to USDA.

House Judiciary Advances Farm Amnesty Bill H.R. 50... (show quote)

Just another Trojan Horse amnesty s**m.

Work on a farm for one season, get amnesty, move on to higher paying job and retain amnesty;

new farmworker sneaks in, takes vacated farm labor job for one season, move on...…….

A new twist, an open borders policy; with a built in escalator.

When they don't have an Obama in the White House to simply use "the pen," the Democrats have to creep around in the shadows and sleaze in their stealth agendas wherever they can do so under the pretense of "human concerns."

You mean he won't besmirch the Senate the way Schitt the Weasel® is crapping all over the House by using it to try and bring down a president for purely sleazy political purposes.

Sorry, Mr. Lone, but while nobody in their right mind ever accused politicians of being honorable individuals, there is a moral (and olfactory) limit to which some will go, and then there are others, like today's Democrats, who dwell perpetually in an immoral, treasonous cesspool of corruption, hunger for power and pure, unmitigated h**e who will go to any lengths to secure their treacherous agendas.

Senator McConnell and the Senate Republicans don't fit into that category. If Schitt the Weasel® actually had a case, rather than the product of his d********g, perverted, fetid imagination and the perpetual lies spewed amid his chronic testacle breath (what are those tiny hairs stuck between his teeth?) below those bulging, froglike eyes and above that weak girly man chin, perhaps Mitch and the Senate would take his House kangaroo court seriously, but as it now stands only Democrats would lick the inner surfaces of the Septic Tank of the Bottom Feeding Low© and pursue this tissue of lies they call an impeachment process.

If you want to endorse the above, I wonder what it says about you and all you stand for? 😎
