I thought I would start with this because Trump sent Rick Perry to Volodymyr Zelensky's inauguration as president of Ukraine and accompanying Perry was to of his Oil and Gas buddies from Texas whom Perry introduced to Ukrainian officials whereby the two then gained bid's on Ukrainian oil and gas ventures, that they were then awarded contracts, even though their payments to Ukraine was to be lower than other bidders.

So here we have a country desperate for money and they are awarding contracts to (friends of the administration) that will cost the Ukraine millions in the future. Now at question was H****r B***ns 50 K a month none of which was paid by the Ukrainians or the US and we are talking about corruption amongst Democrats?

I mention this because your author's argument is that Democrats were afraid Trump would expose the crooked system (presumably liberals) when this is but one example, no doubt of many, of how Trump and his cronies are as bad or worse than Democrats ever dreamt they could be. Now, remember, Trump's argument for requesting an investigation into the Bidens was for supposed corruption in Ukraine when, ironically, they themselves [Ukraine] were required to be corrupt just to deal with Trump and his crooked administration.

Your author then tries to lay all this corruption at the feet of the Obama administration. This is just typical conservative finger-pointing all designed to avoid accepting responsibility for the damage they themselves have done.

So "how did we come to this" well you can start with the complete and total dishonesty displayed by conservatives in everything they do.

Good article. I have heard much the same from many I know who live in Canada and the EU. It's a hard one for the Obama worshipers t swallow.
