I counted up all my taxes, including the host of hidden taxes, and my effective tax rate is 58%. In comparison, Denmark's Socialist tax rate is 45%. My out of pocket medical costs add another 27%, for a total of 85%, whereas, if I lived in Denmark............. my out of pocket medical costs would be 0%, leaving me with 55% instead of 15%.

I'd like to know how that works.
Their whole wealth won't cover her Medicare scheme for a year.

Yeah, plus you forgot a few items on your tax or fee list. Some politicians enter office with a net worth of under a million dollars and two to four years later is worth several millions. Should I think something is wrong? Who are they working for? Could it be for us (Joe Blow citizen)? Doesn't add up. But who am I to know anything. I guess common sense is a handicap.

It's called Insider Trading which is the the illegal practice of trading on the stock exchange to one's own advantage through having access to confidential information. Now the congress rats get away with it by different means and not trading directly. Using a third party or a supposed blind trust. However; if you are involved in writing the financial regulations then you know before anyone else how said regs. will effect different sectors of the economy. None of these clowns while elected should be allowed to own a security in any shape, way or form except in a 401K. And once retired cannot receive a t***sfer or gift of securities for five years. Wouldn't need term limits. these aholes would be wanting to get out of politics so they could make real money.
