My service was no real sacrifice. Actually, it was a breeze. But that was hardly true for all, including the ultimate sacrifice for country so many have made. This somewhat embarrasses me. I was applying for Medicaid last week where the Interviewer asked if I was a vet. I answered, "Yes, I am," and she spent a minute or two praising my duty to country. However, it made me more aware of what it means to many of this nation to honor the men and women who put their lives on the line everyday to protect this nation. I was humbled. So give your oohrah to all our troops past and present, here and abroad.
