If Tax Cut Goal Is To Get Benefits Back To The Working Class, Why Not Just Give Them The Tax Cuts?

Can you imagine how much less tax cuts would add to the deficit if cuts were just given to working people and not the wealthy that got over 80% of them? Let the wealthy pay the taxes and give the break to working people who will spend every dime back into the economy. These tax cuts did not do what they were supposed to in terms of the economy, so why keep them?

Generally: taxes DO NOT generate wealth for society.....tax cuts do. Think about it: where do taxes go? To the government, of course.

What does the government do with the money? Get bigger.

That is a severely limited point of view. Government gets hamstrung to where it can't do the jobs it is supposed to and we suffer for it. The right has a hard on for the IRS, and cutting funding makes it impossible to catch tax c***ters, the oversight gets so limited that more and more people know for a fact that they can get away with it. More people honestly file their taxes than those who intentionally c***t, and it is not far to those who follow the laws.

The government does a lot of good things that people take for granted, it covers a vast array of things that make our lives better.

And you statement did not address why you think it makes sense for the wealthy not to pay taxes.

I would NEVER say that the wealthy should not pay taxes. However, individuals and/or business entities, at any level of income/profit, should pay their statutory share. And, they do....otherwise they would be in prison.

Why do you think the “right” holds any animosity for the IRS? The only time I recall that happening, was when Oblather weaponized the IRS (2013) against conservatives.

Sure, the government does “good things”, but that’s not because of its benevolence......the government is supposed to do what the PEOPLE commission it to do.

Why are you b!tching about what the “top 1%” pays in taxes? Seventy-five percent of them are liberals. Would they be the oligarchs if we were socialists? Yep. They would. And I take it, you’d be fine with that(?)

In your world of financial prosperity, wealthy taxpayers will help pay for America's problems for about a minute. Even if wealthy folks are taxed 60% or 70% to "spread the wealth" (as Socialists want), it would only take care of the deficit for about a year or two. It's not enough, and as the wealthy move out of our country, it will become worse. Wealthy people can move away very easily. They don't give a care about the mess they are leaving behind.
