Cancel Culture Limits Free Speech

At Northwestern University, Geof Sessions was prepared to give a conservative speech to students but it was interrupted when protestors stormed a rear door into the venue. The police intercepted them and stopped them from shutting down the speech. This is becoming a common problem for all conservative speakers at most institutions of higher learning. These protestors are now referred to as the “cancel culture.”

Freedom of speech is being denied by the hecklers and noise makers in the cancel culture membership. It is the responsibility of the University to deny these people entry into the venue and if they do come in and behave in an uncivil manner, they need to be penalized. Universities need to establish clear and consistent policy about the rights of conservatives to speak freely and openly on issues without being denied that right.
Those in the cancel culture should be arrested, fined, incarcerated. If they are students they should be suspended, or in the case of more serious offenses, expelled.

The reason we have these problems on campus is due to a lack of clear policy, lack of enforcement of offenders in violation of the policy and lack of administrators willing to address the issue.

Freedom of speech means the speaker is protected from government persecution by our constitution. it doesn’t protect speakers from hecklers. Sessions is controversial at best and can expect jeering and verbal abuse anywhere he appears in public. The question to ask yourself is why were students not of conservitive ideology not allowed into the venue at Northwestern?

They didn’t limit anybody.

The speaker was conservative, invited by conservative Young Republicans. The audience was not in anyway restricted. But hecklers do not have the right to heckle and drown out those who are there to listen to a Geof Sessions conservative talk on an issue.

Your question in the last sentence begs for a response to another question. Why are the Republicans restricted from the Donald Trump Impeachment hearings which are taking place in a secure vault in the basement of the Capitol Building?

Exactly! Schitt & Co. thought they were in their "safe-space", just a different basement.
The left holds up the Constitution only when it suits THEIR whimpering agenda.

Their are republicans in all hearings, to say otherwise is simply a lie. Not all of the meetings are open to all members and the public so that witnesses and suspects can’t align false testimony.

Not all republicans are invited and they are not given the right to call witnesses and question them. The president can't attend the sessions either nor can his attorneys. You are as deceitful as Adam Schitt!

The 'heckler's veto' as it's been called is a form of restricting free speech. And as such the government has an obligation to insure that the right to free speech is not restricted. Hecklers, shouting down unpopular conservative speakers should be removed so the speech can continue.

The question remains, if any demonrat speaks of impeachment in the Capitol Building, can anyone hear it? Is anyone besides the leakers in that vault? Is Schitt actually playing with his Ken Doll in that vault? Is Peeloosli conversing with the drug cartels and enforcing her quid pro quo to get billions from them? Is Biden sniffing little girls hair in the vault? Is h****r b***n stashing his l**t that he extorted from the Ukranians there? Are ovommits birth records and college records hidden there with all of the demonrats falsified tax filings for the last 30 years. These are things we want to know. The dems are hiding everything. Impeach the whole dam dem party!!

Republicans who are on that committee are NOT restricted from those hearings. Those hearings are like Grand Jury hearings which are never public. Once z grand jury hears a case and v**es, the hearings go public. That will come up in the next couple of weeks.

That 'problem' started years ago at Berkely. They couldn't handle any other train of thought. I would have jailed (the lightest) to having cops with attack k9s go into the crowd of cancel culture (part of the heaviest along with jail time). The problem is partly due to policy enforcement. Trump once signed a free speech bill. It was never followed, the schools weren't deprived of federal funds either as they should have been.
